Thank you, a great piece to share with my families. We spent many weekends here in the 1980s, felt like practically grown up here, lots of wonderful memories.
Beautiful mini documentary! Brought back memories of my brief time there a couple of years ago. A really special place, a rare gem in this world of ours.
Most of my childhood memories was from Sea Ranch..... I remember those sofas, the carpet patterns.... I spend so much time in that swimming pool.... learning to swim... and I remember the helicopter playground..... being my age.... I should know by now that nothing can last forever, but its still sad seeing the place in that state..... thanks for making the video, and bringing back so much happy memories....
This is ace! I was absolutely fascinated by this place when I lived in HK, would spend hours researching its history. Would have loved to have made it over there from the Island. Really interesting piece, well done guys :)
We went past the Sea Ranch on our way to Macau with the catamaran and I got curious about the white buildings on the island. And now I know the history. I got quite fascinated by it. Thank you so much for the video!
Hey Poitr and Yaruunaa, very nice piece! i enjoyed watching it. like that little piece of aerial photography and the Skype interview. and is that a corpse of a dog? and congratulations - you both achieved your dream of producing a documentary. Nancy Tong
Dear Nancy, thank you very much for your kind note. Yes, that is a dog corpse and it has been there for a long time. We really enjoyed making the mini documentary. It was a great experience and a learning process. We hope to reunite again to work on another project soon. Hope all is well with you, our first documentary teacher. Regards, Yaruunaa
thanks for this documentary. are the parts that are left rotting the clu house and the residential buildings are fine? the buildings do look nice from the outside. I wonder how they are inside. never even heard of this place all my life! thanks for sharing this!
Darn cheap, all things considered. Around 2-3 million if I recall. EDIT: Here you go: www.squarefoot.com.hk/most-active-estate/outlying-island/sea-ranch/
Hello~~ We want to film in The Sea Ranch! But we heard that it is not open for non-residents. Do you know how can we get the contact of this estate. And how u guys shoot this?

For now, yes but before 2002, it was really a mesmerising paradise to enjoy holiday there with ocean and tonnes of island.
