This had me laughing ! .... Love that you just showed how's it's done zero bullshit ." I'm not going to show how I bend it with a board and a mallet , im sure you can figure it out " if ya can't oh well lol .... Bare bones no bullshit in your socks in the basement .. hope you have a good season man !!!
Nice video! I use colony traps a lot. I don't understand states that outlaw them. Muskrats can cause so much damage the more we trappers take them out, the less they can do.
you can do anything you put your mind to. That being said, wood would not last more than 1 season and you wouldn't catch very many rats at all. I would imagine you wouldn't catch any at all really. Cage wire is the material you will want to make it from
I have not used colony traps yet do you trap tide water or still water, I would think in tide water sticks n weeds or the running water would open the doors????
From a local hardware store would be the best bet. For holding the cages to gather i use rabbit cage crimps(J-Clips). There is also a tool for the crimps you can buy. I buy my wire from fleet farm but I don't know where you live but I would say a hardware store would be the best bet. Go check out my channel!!!

Is there a door on both sides
Do u put doors on both sides or just the one and wall off the other side?
both.
have you also caught other things? like fish? I mean on accident.
Geert Perton yeah, you catch fish quite a bit actually. Assuming you have it in a likely spot. Mink are not uncommon either.
