@@annataymond9529 There are quite a few common reasons: to protect their eyes from damage (sunlight, small objects, etc) / to let other people know they're blind / to hide their eyes (maintaining eye contact with "sighted" people can be difficult or awkward, they may suffer from physical damage or disfigurements that they don't want others to see, etc) / some people who are not fully blind can actually see *_better_* with sunglasses on.
I actually just learned that last one myself after double-checking I wasn't spreading misinformation before posting. If anyone reading this is visually impaired and feel I've said anything incorrect, please let me know.
Jellybones as a kid I always was confused why a blind person would need sunglasses since I’d see it in cartoons. I think I saw a video by Molly Burke talking about why she wears them but I d ok not remember her mentioning inside.
