For quartering chunks over 30" down to size is recommended to use a single split version which we also sell. The 6 way could handle a piece up to 30" or so with one large knot if you put the knot so it doesn't pass through the wedge. The single split version will split virtually anything. Passing knots through 6 ways is not advised. You can do it but increases risk of a broken wedge.
Thanks for the video, how does that 6way wedge handle something big with knots? My machine is 17gpm @2500psi just not sure if my machine has enough ass to do it.
What an absolute waste of money. Not efficient at all !! Wasteful xtra hrs on machine , and you have to still buy a log splitter to split the chunks. Just buy a commercial grade log splitter and production and cost will be way better

What is the required pump output?
There is no required pump output. Smaller pump = slower cycle time. Large pump = faster cycle time but any GPM will work.

Thank you!
That looks like it would be a pain in the ass
It beats having to lift those logs on a wood splitter

💯!!!
At least you won’t be exposed to the elements while you’re doing this
