Do I need to practice in Nigeria years before I am eligible to apply? Can I apply immediately after my internship cos I am currently an intern and must I do youth service before applying does it matter?

Did you have all your documents ready before starting the application? this video seems detailed but still has unanswered questions. It’s a requirement, so it must be seen before your application proceeds.
Just get sth like an attestation letter from where you’ve worked

Thanks for the video. My transcript is an official one, well signed and stamped by my university. Do I still need to certify my transcript. Is transcript (which is usually in soft copy form) among the things to be certified?
Yes you should.. you have to photocopy it and certify the photocopied version

Please register with either British council or IDP for your Ielts. They are both accepted for UK application.
Will it be certified on the front page of the photocopy or behind it?
Pls I just did my ielts academic exam n d result is out. I got all d requirements except for speaking where I got 6.5. Can I go ahead with d GOC? I had overall 7

Hi, I am a South African optometrist and currently considering immigrating to the UK to live and work. Do I need to have a job offer before I can apply to the GOC. I’m unaware of where to start.
Hello dear, no you don’t need a job offer in the UK yet.
First, you need to email GOC of your interest to practice in uk and then ask for the application form, to begin.

@@chrisd142 no it’s actually a straight forward process. As soon as you get your certificate of sponsorship from the college of optometry, then you can go ahead and apply for your visa

Do not worry about getting job offers at the moment, they are not difficult to get; a lot of clinics in UK accept Pre Reg Optometrist.

I hope you see this and reply. Please is there anything that can be done if waiting for scrutiny assessment stage and reply from the assessors has gone past 4months
So at the moment, the wait time seems to be exceeding 4months.. doesn’t mean anything has gone wrong. So maybe sending a reminder email to them won’t be a bad idea

Hello, I didn’t pay any fee for the application form.
All you need to do is email and ask them for the application form, and they’ll send it to you

@@okekecynthia5308 I suggest you wait to finish internship so you can have time to do your clearance and get your transcript, degree certificate, license ( when you’re ready for NYSC) and Ielts.

Hello, there’s no age limit requirement on the list.. so if you’ve practiced one year in the last 10 years, you can go ahead and apply.
