Awe man, you can tell Matt Lillard is an old-schooler, calling a sneak attack a "back attack." Kinda cool to see a few different D&D streamer folks all together in one game!
oh shit Matthew Lillard! One of my favorite actors since Hackers! Didn't know he was a DnD player, though I can't say I'm surprised. Can't wait for this!
1:17:16 when they clasp hands, Joe's ring catches one of the studio lights and it looks like a tweezer gleam of He-Man power. also...where the "heck" is Brian Posehn?! and hey, one of the best games run, gj. good crew, nice one, matt
I know her from True Blood as a strawberry redhead - absolutely gorgeous! That's where I know Joe from as well, although I've seen him guest star on Critical Role. After I catch up with Campaign 1 of CR, I'm going to have to start watching Force Grey!
"Captain America, saved my life..." - Ashley Johnson (and she's also the little girl 'niece' from Lionheart starring Van Damme). Great stuff guys, love D&D and RPGs!
This is so awesome... Currently in the middle of Chapel on the Cliffs and I started the group out in Waterdeep. Love the takeways that I can add to my adventure when the party gets back to "home".
His Tabaxi on D,C,A stole Acquisition Inc's corporate airship. A felony that crossed over 3 separate games. Yes, Mr. Lillard's presence is always a treat.
Oh damn someone picked the minotaur up already. Yeah the new UA of minotaur and centaur both seemed really well done and I couldn't find a single person in my west marches group that had problem with those. WotC has really upped their game with races lately..except for eladrin though, that's still just ridiculous.
A little late to the show, but watching Mercer run his game is always enjoyable. I like seeing Dagny back with FG, I hope she is back for their next season.
"I bullcharge him into the fireplace. By accident." I'm pretty sure these words have been uttered that day for the first time in the history of mankind.
It was simply my favorite characters, gender didn't factor into it, though I could see that conclusion. I chose my top 5 characters who I think would work in a smaller faster game. (Otherwise i would have Totally put in Vex and Percy as well)
Ezra Cold good to know. Vex/jester is high on my list, so her omission really stood out to me. I love Ashley’s characters but it can be awkward at times.
Deborah is an absolute treasure who makes this world a more amazing place to live with every goofy smile, not to mention a timeless beauty, both within and without.
I understand Joe comes from an old school tradition of "use the same character in every game." But I was getting real sick of him being Arkahn in every game. Nice to see him play something else for a change.
John Creekpaum he was Arkhan in all of Force Grey season 2 where they did a mini adventure version of Tomb of Annihilation (and got TPK'd trying to fight the lich after barely killing the atropal). Deborah is using the same character.
mediumvillain Of course she is, that's her Force Grey character. Ashley Johnson is still playing her Force Grey character too. Unless the character dies, they'll be using the same characters for Force Grey games.
I use the same character for one-shots and short campaigns... it's a little boring, but as I'm often playing with newbies or new groups, it's easier for me to drop into a familiar character than trying to feel out a new one.
Rémy Boivin Pretty sure killing a wealthy merchant who is a guest of the city, someone important enough to be invited to a party for Lords, is going to be heavily frowned upon.
You have advantage on Saving Throws against poison, and you have Resistance against poison damage. Yah. Shouldn't have had to use the Luck to reroll too. Ah well...like it was mentioned, we all forget rules sometimes. It is up to the player to remember those rules too.
They also were in a rush with a time limit and he was playing on dndbeyond and he said he is used to paper so might not be familiar enough with his character to remember it
ya, pressed for time, not familiar with the technology, for 100% accuracy the odds were against them. Good story and story telling and great gameplay by all those involved 👍
0:50 First, I understood "Biestinger" (in The Dark Eye => intelligent animal type of feyfolk) instead of Beestinger.. And I thought, wow cool does she know german and did she play "The Dark Eye" already? :O until In understood :D too much Pen&Paper for sure
Really awesome to watch the show, I love it ! I had just noticed a small thing, during Beadle's 1st poison encounter trap in Medina's room as a dwarf, he had advantage on his saving throw against poison as a dwarf. He used a luck on the saving throw instead to reroll his natural 1 offcourse, but then he failed again with a 9. Because of the dwarf trait against poison hadn't he an advantage on the luck initiate and luck roll as well ? Or did I missed that part ? Anyway really great and laughing time, I am looking forward for more :).
Again I thought it would be so cool if Matthew LIllard was on this episode, thinking the dude in the hat was someone else and I heard his voice and was like, HOLY FUCKING SHIT ITS MATTHEW LILLARD!!! He's the best.
I love to watch Matthew Lillard play, always has a great character, and brings so much fun to the table!
FINALLY they're posting the Streams of Many Eyes onto the Tube of many Yous!
well the VODs were available on twitch for every1 to rewatch, not just to subscribers...I have been watching the VODs the next day on twitch
Broken Hardy?
They weren't complete though, sadly.
Twitch sucks to watch things on. No matter how good they are.
XD Funny
I love seeing Joe and Deborah playing together! True blood for life! And it's AMAZING that shaggy is there too! I love this
A good example of real players vs a delicate social interaction scenario. They literally burn it down.
Actually this frustrates me, as I would be a player who would get into character and play it out realistically.
That's about as realistic as having a minatour arrive at the Manor for dinner?
Matt is a great DM, he draws you in and builds the story. I could sit and watch this for hours, like him doing the critical role
Awe man, you can tell Matt Lillard is an old-schooler, calling a sneak attack a "back attack." Kinda cool to see a few different D&D streamer folks all together in one game!
I worked over the entire stream. I am so glad it was posted
What's it like having subhuman intelligence? @DJ KO
Great to see that Ashley still can't roll stealth checks. Great stream. Can't wait to watch the rest!
At least she wasn't last on her initiative roll!
Raulin Hentchel a
Man this is probably one of my favorite dnd shows. I love how much every one role plays. It's great. Can't wait to see were it goes
BRING THESE BACK, PLEASE!!! We need these rollouts for the community and culture of d&d
They finished this series for the most part.
@@beemichelle2276 I mean the whole live stream rollout for new content. Bring back this format.
Joe and Deborah have both been solid with the roleplay and character interactions in both this and the Omu one.
I think I heard Marisha's laugh in the audience!!
Dang this was SUCH a great group, really hoping this team plays together again at some point ever.
Really, really have to second this sentiment...
oh shit Matthew Lillard! One of my favorite actors since Hackers! Didn't know he was a DnD player, though I can't say I'm surprised. Can't wait for this!
god damn matt was on fire this episode, really funny stuff from him.
Man, seeing Matthew Lillard looking like that has me feeling old.
That's the rules, Syd
dude, it took me 30 min to realize where the hell i knew him from D:
Right? Good Lord it's been a while..
I hear ya buddy, I hear ya.
Matt is a master story teller
"I'll bull-charge him into the fire-place! By accident!"
1:06:00 - Mercer throws in a Sam Riegel reference: Nott's message cantrip catchphrase: "You may reply to this message"
I see Joe using the dice tray I made. WOOO!
That's a nice tray
Where can you buy one?
Shaggy: “I always think splitting up is such a fantastic idea.”
kyle calvert did you here Travis from crit roll laugh in the background 😂
1:17:16 when they clasp hands, Joe's ring catches one of the studio lights and it looks like a tweezer gleam of He-Man power.
also...where the "heck" is Brian Posehn?!
and hey, one of the best games run, gj. good crew, nice one, matt
dude, am I high? i see Mcree talking to shaggy rn...
BRUHHHHHH
Haaaahahaa my dude!
"its high noon"...." zoinks scoobs lets get out of here"
McCree, Deathstroke, Karen Page (from Daredevil on Netflix), Ellie (from The Last of Us) and Shaggy... Pretty damn impressive.
Joni Ojala forgot Leon from resident evil lol
Love how the Riker maneuver is a real thing for how people sit in chairs now.....
HOLY CRAP DEB IS FROM DAREDEVIL (and Punisher go marvel!!) Took me 10 mins to finally recognize her!!
Shes from true blood with Joe also
DJ KO Seriously dude. What's with the trolling?
She DMs a game also, and kills it
Right! When I saw her on Force Gray I was very surprised but oh so happy, she fuckin kills it and her game on this stream was unbelievable
Oh shit that was her wasnt it!
Matthew Lillard looks enthralled by everything!
This is so awesome... Currently in the middle of Chapel on the Cliffs and I started the group out in Waterdeep. Love the takeways that I can add to my adventure when the party gets back to "home".
Deborah Ann Woll's into D&D?! Now I've definitely fallen for her!!
I enjoyed the lighthearted feel of this game, esp. after watching CR season 1! Everyone is having a ball ; )
I'm so glad you guys uploaded these!!! Thank you!!!
WOW, that's Matthew Lillard!
He was in a D&D TV commercial back in the early 80s
His Tabaxi on D,C,A stole Acquisition Inc's corporate airship. A felony that crossed over 3 separate games. Yes, Mr. Lillard's presence is always a treat.
I totally didn't recognize him till I read this.
Joe was amazing in this episode! Arkhan might be Joe's favorite, but mine is his Torro.
Arkham with that stupid hand is so broken...
It's not fun cause he's just crazy OP!
@@matthewsams1038 True, but I see Arkhan as a relic of oldschool D&D when crunching was the name of the game and the characters reflected that.
When the mini minotaur came in, the mini minotaur song was just on repeat in my head.
Deborah ann woll is my favourite person.
I like her as well but I really like Ashley Johnson.
Oh damn someone picked the minotaur up already. Yeah the new UA of minotaur and centaur both seemed really well done and I couldn't find a single person in my west marches group that had problem with those. WotC has really upped their game with races lately..except for eladrin though, that's still just ridiculous.
Thank you, WotC! Friday was plagued by technical issues during the stream.
"No one puts Toro in the corner!" got me real good...
Poor Toro couldn't get a roll to save his life (or at least his dignity).
Still, it looks like he might well be the bulle of the ball... '-)
What a wonderful group, and a very talented DM.
Matt Mercer on twitter: "without the technical difficulties"
Video: goes to the technical difficulties screen after 15 minutes.
MaskofFayt I was wondering if the ‘technical difficulties’ were related to Joe swearing 😂 just felt coincidentally timed lol.
PaperSmiles Especially since when they came back everyone is laughing except Joe who looks like he was just scolded.
Is an installment of a Force Grey Season 3? The dynamic is great and I'd love to see Matthew Lillard part of a regular or semi-regular liveplay.
"I'm seeing you and I see a man who does some work under the table"
PHRASING!!
55:22 Ashley "Don't fuck me Gil" I swear I hear Marisha giggle...
Whaaaaat? No season 3 of Force Grey? Tell me it's just a stream appetizer and that a season 3 will eventually come ...
Yup. Makes me sad. Even coming to a ton of actual plays after a number of years something special was lost here.
whoa its like Force Grey all stars, all ppl who know how to play.
i kinda wanna play a minotaur in a game myself
A little late to the show, but watching Mercer run his game is always enjoyable. I like seeing Dagny back with FG, I hope she is back for their next season.
OMG matthew lillard just said " i'll be right back"
@1:17:16 love how there's a sparkle when they grab their hands for the arm wrestle hahahaha
"I bullcharge him into the fireplace. By accident."
I'm pretty sure these words have been uttered that day for the first time in the history of mankind.
Dungeons and Dragons, will you please announce the new season of the best dnd game ever!!- force grey.
55:18 lmao was that marisha laughing
i would love more of this
"Armor is for whimps" hahaha nice one
Must have more. Full Critical Role special with Mathew Lillard, Joe Manganiello, Travis, Sam, and Mercer playing with Liam DMing.
Ezra Cold you only named the men of critical role. I would love to see an actually full critical role panel with the whole cast.
I tried watching this live and they were having so many technical problems. So glad it's up, now!
You realize you are a nerd when you watch “What to expect when you’re expecting” and you say “Oh hey that’s the guy who was playing D&D!”
That's definitely a sign! haha
I see you nerdiness and raise you a "I'm watching a DnD stream and say, 'Oh that's Flash Thompson from the Raimi trilogy!"
the abrupt and utter chaos that ensues is wonderful
Deborah is an absolute treasure who makes this world a more amazing place to live with every goofy smile, not to mention a timeless beauty, both within and without.
Such a great group of players and Mr.Mercer is the greatest DM ever!
These guys work really well together!
I love Deborah so much. What a funny, lovely woman she is. Such a great actress too.
Matthew mercer is the quintessential DM. He should DM every quest ever
... Whoa, i didn't know Karen Page was also a D&D player.
"I will meet you under the table" 😂
I Can't stop picturing Shaggy playing a dawrf! XD
Matthew Mercer
Anyone notice the gleam at 1:17:15 of Joe's ring? Perfect.
I understand Joe comes from an old school tradition of "use the same character in every game." But I was getting real sick of him being Arkahn in every game. Nice to see him play something else for a change.
Josh Kaid He played a bunch during the last stream for Tomb of Annihilation, Arkhan only once I think.

@mediumvillain wait wat? did Arkah died? thats why he playing a new one? pls no, can't believe he would die like this.
Waterdeep is very strict. There are laws which are enforced by the Masked Lords. Killing has consequences.
Rémy Boivin Pretty sure killing a wealthy merchant who is a guest of the city, someone important enough to be invited to a party for Lords, is going to be heavily frowned upon.
This is marvellous D&D.
Joe’s accent just keeps reminding me of Boris from the old Rocky & Bullwinkle show.
i was having a bit of a lousy day, but this cheered me right up.
This series would make a great comic or novel (beestinger should get her own series)
Just let her slap you...I was dying this is fantastic!!
25:42 "Is the construct hot?" Things I didn't realize I should prepare for players to ask (but probably should have expected)
Man Joe's jacket is sick!
megavore97 his death saves shirt is legit af
Ha! I love that Joe name-dropped Thyatis! That is a guy who grew up on BECMI D&D. :)
1:17:12 that ring twinkle is SOOOO perfect omfg
31:48 I realized his voice reminds me Vladislav from What we do in the Shadows
Every time Matthew Lillard speaks, all I hear is Shaggy
I love how at 1:17:11 matt's and joe's fist let out a small twinkle star before the armwrestle
Nooo wheres Hitch!?
I love Hitch!
Will we see more of Force Grey?
BRUH matthew lillard having that old grandpa moment with the computer makes me feel 20 years older.
Dang, no Brian or Utkarsh. Oh well, still love these people and this game.
Joe, once again, stealing the show along Mister Mercer. Such talented duo
Beadle the Dwarven Rogue is resistant to poison.
Yeah they're noobs
yeah, but who hasn't forgotten one of your abilities in the heat of the moment?
You have advantage on Saving Throws against poison, and you have Resistance against poison damage.
Yah. Shouldn't have had to use the Luck to reroll too. Ah well...like it was mentioned, we all forget rules sometimes. It is up to the player to remember those rules too.

I’m really wish for this campaign
To return
0:50 First, I understood "Biestinger" (in The Dark Eye => intelligent animal type of feyfolk) instead of Beestinger.. And I thought, wow cool does she know german and did she play "The Dark Eye" already? :O until In understood :D too much Pen&Paper for sure
1:17:15 look at his Ring lol
Atlas hahaha i noticed that too
I would like to continue watching. Where are the other videos of this adventure?
This was great, is there a part 2? Failed my investigation check.
1:17:16 was that glint off the ring something done in post or a legit sparkle?
Man! I was hoping for arkahn!
He'd be way overpowered for this.
me too
He is in the Jocks Machina segment. And given that name you can guess who will also be there ;-)
The cruel
um.. dwarves have advantage on poison saving throws. just sayin XD he didn't need to use the luck first time and should've had adv the 2nd.
Really awesome to watch the show, I love it !
I had just noticed a small thing, during Beadle's 1st poison encounter trap in Medina's room as a dwarf, he had advantage on his saving throw against poison as a dwarf. Anyway really great and laughing time, I am looking forward for more :).
This was so much fun to watch!
So glad to see Joe and Deborah together again, but oh, what happened to Arkhan? O-o
“My friends call me Toro, but I don’t have any friends “.
Again I thought it would be so cool if Matthew LIllard was on this episode, thinking the dude in the hat was someone else and I heard his voice and was like, HOLY FUCKING SHIT ITS MATTHEW LILLARD!!! He's the best.
