My favorite Long-Range build currently is, Xi Gundam Head, Legs and Shield NT-1 w Chobham Armor Chest Both Age-2 Double Bullet Arms S Gundam Backpack Right Hand Dobergun Left Hand Beam Magnum (Unicorn) Experimental Twin Beam Saber Skills are, EX; Armor Repair, Back Beam Cannon, Funnel Missile, Twin DODS Cannon OP; Missile (Xi Gundam Legs), Beam Cannon (Xi Gundam Shield), Micro Missile Launcher (Builder Part), Arm Grenade Launcher (Builder Part), Chobham Armor (NT-1 Chest), I-Field (Builder Part), Large Gattling (2x Builder Part), Rail Cannon (2x Builder Part). Guardian Stimulant w Burst Resurrect is the Awaken setup. Gameplan is to spam the Beam Cannon and Gattlings while other skills are on CD saving Dobergun, Beam Magnum and EX bars for tougher targets, against mobilesuits with the Blue bar under their health the Dobergun is used with tap-shots to destroy that bar so the Beam Magnum's charged shots can deal the most damage. And it has all three reduced damage bonuses from the RX78 Ecopla on it so at range the build is pretty durable against most weapons fire tough some bosses like the Burning/God Gundam and Beams from Mobile Armors like Hashmal still have the chance to just kill you through stun locking you.
My long range long rifles generate over 200,000 damage on a full shot and close to 400,000 if i use x-rounder ,that also increases missile damage too . Havent tried to drop response speed but long rifles with irritated beams can eat even high level newtype rg bosses up . If you build for long rife and ex beam blast attacks they seem to deal damage more than anything else aside from broken cheesy builds like missile spam and mace melee b.s. .
@Supreme Kami I am a bit confused about what you said regarding the reaction speed? Is there a damage gap that stop the damage absorption on impact? Does this apply for quick beam rifle?
@@bluuangel004 Yeah, there's a floor and a ceiling, too slow and couple shots get chewed up by the animation, and going too fast your beam brocs can't catch up.
All in all would you say it's worth it running this type of build? I know the game is not exactly hard but this is really ex hungry, might be a bit troublesome being able to actually fire those things
What I will say is that it will definitely improve your range game, but melee will never not be the better option. GB4 did a poor job with incorporating ranged attacks but with all of these skills on your gear most of the issues go away. Funnels and bits still kind of suck but at least they deal good damage in the years they take to attack yknow?
When it comes to "attempting" to make a shooter build ur first step is to remove shooter build from ur brain. Completely. Your either full on melee or melee that uses shot skills. Equipping attack power weapon: long range/left or right long range/gun type long range or ANY long range capacity/recovery is 1000% useless. I say this because in higher difficulties guns are...1000%...useless, they do far less damage compared to melee and if ur thinking of using ur guns as ur source of damage/gauge build up. They really really really just shat on shooter builds in this game.
Indeed. I usually just use guns to extend the combo or to prevent enemies from recovering. Also have you come upon ability cartridges that reduce long-range weapon costs? I tunnel visioned on OP cooldown cuz I found missile spamming fun on lower diffs to the point where I managed to go beyond 100%, making 20 sec OP's cooldown to just 1 sec. Though, in Newtype diff, it's a bit harder to break parts with missile spams.
@Aerynolae idk about cost but I have seen I think recovery or capcity, the multi target missles like (i think its zetas?) The micro missles are amazing for breaking parts with attack power part lost+cd on part lost on any difficulty except for the big boss fights
@Aerynolae if you missile spam use micro missiles x8 and go for cooldown on parts lost . Add 21 tube ZZ missiles and 18 tube 2 stage fazz missiles and you open with one of the other 2 as the first attack and then spam micro missiles like mad between both gun both melee and ability cartridges you should be generating instant reloads every second or two for all op skills including the x8 micro missiles .
Honestly, Dual Wielding Atomic Bazooka with -100% Long Range cost is the way for long range build lmao

do you miss EX skills with cinematics from Gundam Breakers Mobile, I was expecting this game to have them.

Basically, the faster you are, the less your beam procs. TheOtherMC has a more in depth video about it.

its actually useful on large boss like unleashed gundam or apsaras II since they typically fly and has a very large damage box.
