The sync feature does require that the connected NAC Circuit have the Mircom Sync Protocol. If a non-sync protocol NAC circuit is used, then the Sync Module needed is the SDM-240. Mircom FleXNet, FX-4000, FX-3318, FX-3500, FX-400 and FX-401 Fire Control Panels have built-in NAC Circuits that can be configured with the Mircom Sync Protocol.

They are still needed, sync module compatible for these devices MIX-4050
