Everytime I hear this song I think about my Late Grandmother Emma Lee Yates of Memphis, TN. She passed away this past Friday, September 16th 2022 at the Age of 94. She use to sing this song and would have the whole Church shouting. I miss her so much that I can't seem to stop crying and thinking about her. I'm so thankful she dragged me (us) to Church as a young child. She was a blessing to our lives and so many others that knew her. Giving me peace 🙏🏾 in my broken 💔 heart to accept the fact that GOD makes no mistakes. HE gave us all life and to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. I used to hear this every morning before I went to school, on the "Guy with the Goods, Georgie Woods!" morning radio program in Philadelphia, Pa. back in 1971. I wasn't a huge gospel fan at the time. But, something about this song, made me feel real good about myself and I started paying attention to God and life in general.
