This is in a lot of cases due to a third party application repeatedly trying to access an already hooked file. You should be able to fix it with some fiddling. Click on the proces, click on the little 'i' icon then go to 'open ports and files', usually you'll see a file that stands out (maybe because you're using it, or because it's related to recently installed software, or something), close the third party application that's related to that file and cpu usage will lower.
Hello... Since the New MacOS released in October 7th. I've upgraded from OS Mojave to Catalina. Then I tried to install some of my programs such as: Audacity, Final cut pro. It said: Not supported in MacOS Catalina! Do you know how to solve this issue? Or Do I need to go back to Mojave?
I’m wondering what Apple is gonna do for windows computers, if they are gonna make new separate apps for windows or just keep iTunes around on windows only
Apple basically releases a major version of an OS to provide features that Google provide constantly during the year via Google Play as app updates, even at system level. Apple please, solve the thermal issues of my 2.500€ MacBook Pro
Sad. I’ve been a huge proponent of the Mac OS system, basically because I thought that windows was clunky, as well as not intuitive. Microsoft has made huge strides in windows 10, and even using their windows insider fast build, most of the changes they’ve made have been very helpful, decreasing window’s response time, increasing efficiency, as well as adding features similar to Mac. Unfortunately, Apples innovation has slowed. A whole new operating system update, complete with some new graphical changes, split up ITunes, sidecar, a refreshed reminders app, as well as more secure sign-on, is helpful, but not what I would expect from a brand new OS release. Apple really needs to get their act together if they want to compete with Microsoft. I hate the fact that I’m even saying this, but I think it’s the elephant in the room.
okay but like this video doesn't mention the one thing that makes this update huge - Project Catalyst and how it's making it heaps easier for iOS apps to be converted into macOS apps, which opens a helluva lot more opportunities for developers and mac users alike... tbh it's the only thing that has me hyped for this update.
Yes I had issues with music app the music kept saying loading to I cloud and the the music for you was all faed out and not responsive I had to downgrade back to Mojave
The wallpaper does not change depending on the time of the day in Catalina. It’s automatic, not dynamic. Meaning if you have dark mode on, you get the dark one and if it’s normal, you get the light one. It was dynamic in Mojave where it changed based on the time of the day.
4:13 I almost Never use the Mac App Store
A great new feature would be fixing the kernel task 300% that hogs all the CPU
George Norris Agreed!

I think sidecar is one of the most functional upgrades for persons who pretty much use the macbook platform for work or school.
