    This was my first tool 7 years ago. This is by far my favorite leatherman. So much so I have 4 of them 😅. I’ve amassed many leatherman tools since then. They are the best multitool around! Always speak highly of them to anyone who asks.

    I have the larger Super Tool 300. I love the Super Tool 300 for outside activities and chores. The handles are very comfortable to use and the all the implements are very useful. A pair of scissors would be a great addition to the toolset. Any multitool would benefit from a pair of scissors! HUGE Leatherman fan here!

      It might be worth checking out the Surge. It has some of the largest scissors available in a multi-tool.

    • @speedygonzales9993
      @speedygonzales9993 Год назад

      I use the ST-300, too. Scissors are useful, until they become BLUNT. Then you have a useless BLUNT pair of scissors STUCK to your multi-tool. This becomes a pain in the @$$. I prefer to just have a SEPARATE pair of El-Cheapo (throwaway) scissors w/ me. Check out the Surge or the Wave+, if you want. Cheers!

      The knifeless Rebar has scissors. A lot of people like carrying a dedicated pocket knife anyway, so it's a reasonable combo to consider.

    • @speedygonzales9993

      @@Adam_Wilde Tks!, a knife on my multi-tool is more important than a pair of scissors, esp. for military use.

    • @Adam_Wilde
      @Adam_Wilde Год назад +1

      @@speedygonzales9993 For sure, the Surge and Wave are heavier though and less affordable, but also sturdier and fully capable. It could make sense if someone already had an EDC knife and they wanted to complement it with a lighter multi-tool in their carry that included scissors for occasional application. I do hear your reasoning for not needing scissors on a multitool though and I respect that 👍

    I have the Knifeless Rebar and the more I use it, the more I love it. I especially hated having to stop cutting my grass to get a tool, everytime I had to fix something on my home or on my mower/weed wacker. That Phillips driver is amazing and I wish it was on more tools. The only thing I wish the Rebar had is a micro driver and a belt clip. The cops are cracking down on knives but I don't have to worry about it. I just keep a small cheap knife on me, and if the cop thinks a 2 inch knife is dangerous and takes it, I at least didn't lose my multi tool. Thanks for making the Knifeless Rebar.

  • @bobsmith2404
    @bobsmith2404 Год назад +3

    I had the original super tool ever since they came out with it. I made a trade for the super tool 200 which I still have. I just picked up a Rebar so I'd have something light weight & more compact for my survival pack, I got the hex bit piece that fits the Phillips screwdriver. That makes your multi tool into 100 more tools. I have the tool adapter for the super tool & it does the same thing. Leatherman should not have discontinued it.

  • @Murky_Lurks
    @Murky_Lurks Год назад

    Had one for years. The tools come loose and and the locks jam up after a while, mine could double as a moracca: you'll quickly require gloves to use the pliers without a pinch or a poke of some kind from one of the flapping tools. Also, can't have a lanyard attached without having the use of the saw effected.
    Just spend more and buy a Wave - it's worth it.

    • @Murky_Lurks
      @Murky_Lurks Год назад

      also, the tip of the can opener will poke through a slot in exterior of the tool for the lock when closed and stab ya if your not paying attention - get a wave.

    • @Prepare2Survive
      @Prepare2Survive Год назад +3

      How long did it take yours to loosen up? I've been carrying a rebar for 2 years now and it hasn't become sloppy like you're describing.

    • @Murky_Lurks
      @Murky_Lurks Год назад

      @@Prepare2Survive maybe 3 - 4 months in. I've had it for much longer. I keep it in my car now. had to use it the other day and got shanked in the hand by the can opener through the handle, then this vid pops up. Maybe still a little bitter. The thing has never fallen apart, but it is def sloppy as you said.

    • @Prepare2Survive
      @Prepare2Survive Год назад +3

      @@Murky_Lurks That's odd mine doesn't have that problem. Maybe yours being bought longer ago means the newer ones are tighter. I got mine for Christmas 2 years ago and have been carrying it every day. I don't use it every day though. Maybe on average 2 or 3 times per week I've been opening it to use it. I mainly use the pliers, awl, knife, screw drivers and saw. Once in a while I use the file, but not often. Haven't ever needed to used the can opener yet. I like the Wave too, but it's 27% heavier than the rebar and doesn't have an awl.

    • @Murky_Lurks
      @Murky_Lurks Год назад

      @@Prepare2Survive I've never used the can opener on mine. It's become loose enough that it falls into the handle and the point sticks through the handle, when closed about 1/4 in. I own multiple leatherman tools - maybe I got a lemon or maybe its because its an older one. Though it is matte black, i thought that was a fairly recent option. I'll still always recommend the wave - it's better in every measurable way outside of dimensions and weight - though I honestly never notice the difference.
