      Most people are not using technology and technique to their advantage.
      Unfortunately they follow golf tips! Hundreds and hundreds of golf tips. How many golf tips do you need before your head is spinning?

    People don’t confuse simple good technique .
    People do not need super flexibility to achieve this range of movement.
    Don’t use the excuse that you are to old. I teach mostly seniors.

    Great video but I’d argue that most amateurs just can’t get these angles, especially the older we get. These tour players have mostly been playing golf from the time they hit double figures and play almost every day so their muscles have adapted and stretched for what the golf swing needs. I’m a very fit 59yr old and have a day job in front of the computer and I just cannot get these angles. What would be good angles for senior players?

      @CraigHansonGolf  4 месяца назад

      Well that’s why i mentioned the closer you get to them the better.
      We all have to do our best. 40-55 is not extreme
      Seniors 35 -50 is good. A little stretching won’t hurt. 😊 i see a lot of people who can do it physically, but just have poor technique. It’s not as demanding on the body as you think really! 👍👍

      Unfortunately people you need some awesome type of flexibility to achieve normal positions
      I teach seniors that easily get close to these movements

      @@CraigHansonGolf with my students, I’ve found that almost none have any idea how a proper pivot works at their first lesson. They can do it for every other sport, but set them on an incline and chaos ensues 😬 As soon as the lower body starts working the way is biomechaniccally was designed to, all of a sudden these “impossible positions” start feeling normal. Until students understand how the knees and pelvis can actually turn you around a fixed spine, compensating for the side bend automatically, of course staying in their posture and getting open is going to be hard because they’re making it hard! I honestly think golf should be taught more like martial arts, where you invest your time in perfecting the movements the body first, before you ever touch a weapon. In this case the weapon being a golf club 😂

    If you need 40 degrees of shoulder tilt and you should ideally rotate about your spine, does that mean you really need exactly 40 degrees of forward tilt at address?

    • @CraigHansonGolf
      @CraigHansonGolf  4 месяца назад

      no

      @@CraigHansonGolf so do you generate shoulder angle with side bend?
