Same situation tbh. I got real lucky getting a Kassadin who didn't know what being harassed in lane as ranged v melee was and didn't take Fleet, Second Wind or Doran's Shield, and a Veigar, as my two Xerath games today.
Damn wasn't aware of the xerath lore with Azza, twas a welcome surprise to my day indeed. Currently running with 80%-ish wr Xerath climbing back up to diamond after the mmr reset, honestly champ doesn't feel weak but its very coinflippy whether your own team will let you play or not. PS. The desk mat from the giveaway finally came, based design, I'm loving it!
Nocturne in the center lane makes sense because of the early armor piercing item that allows him to reduce the health of mages at the expense of the first skill. As a browser, it is a decent top laner capable of breaking towers with high mobility, which makes absolutely no sense in the mid lane. Don't do what this Nocturne did.
"who the fuck plays Vel'koz mid ?" Well besides the obvious...there's me, playing Vel in Iron...it's pretty fun...XD You're the one who got me to play the champ...I'm now in love with the champ
Hiii 😊 I don't really play Xerath so I wanted to ask why you though all the ults charges one right after another? I mean if someone it's coming for you I think it's the right think but if you're shoting from afar you could play it slow so the enemy gets nervous and impatient??? Just asking to know
You have to apply pressure with your ults as xerath, the projectiles are easy to dodge if you're sniping from far away because the projectiles travel more, which means more time to react. So if your team isn't pressuring the target into making predictable movements and the target is decent at dodging, using the ults in rapid fire mode makes the target dance for their life in a pattern you can most likely anticipate. I don't really know if I'm making this clear but basically xeraths ult is too easy to dodge if you're decent and you're not gaining value from waiting to fire them, but you do gain pressure when you rapid fire them, which opens up windows of predictable movements that you can abuse.
Great video and commentary! I'm a Xerath OTP however I feel like lately he's not doing enough damage (especially against magic resist), and I'm insta countered if I'm caught by a mobile assassin if I step slightly out of turret or get pushed in at early levels. Do you guys think he's a viable choice to climb or should I try and learn a new champ?
What's your rank? Most viable choice below diamond is whatever you perform consistently and calmly on, because that's when you're most likely to CS well and check the minimap often.
@@MakashiOwns Currently stuck Bronze II, so I guess I should stick with Xerath even if I'm countered? Because I don't have near as much mastery in other champs (the closest ones being Lux and Veigar). P.S: thank you for your reply and input, really appreciate it!

the state of this champ is so sad, you basically just hope you get carried like the last fight. Look how fed you are and how hopeless you are in teamfights lol
why don't you buy tear? sure early game is hard but it scales a lot especially with xreath items that he builds, all that mana gives a lot of AP and plus shield, not telling a pro what they should builds but i just want to know! thanks.
Tear isn't really useful on xerath and most poke mages because 1.most of them only build one mana item and the other mana item is just more impactful. 2. Xerath already have a way to restore his mana and the shield is absolutely useless on xerath because if you position right the shield would never pop and if it does 80% of the time you gonna die anyways so why don't just get a zhonyas which function relatively the same as seraph but better.
5:30 Why would you buy a normal H-pot instead of the green one? Isn't the green one always better if you have the money for it? It's only 100 gold more but gives you multiple instances of recoverable health everytime you go back to fountain. Genuine question. Azzapp is obviously so much better than me and I am just questioning my own logic here :)
