I was not able to kill the siege temple with either 2.7 M cav march or a 3.3 M cav march. My cav atk buff is about 1600%

Check "Attack March Advanced layering" video, set cavs march preset according to it and then add those ground and archer layers as mentioned in this video, you should be able to clear easily.

I have 8 Yuks in my subs and 3.8M T14 Mounted and cannot kill a 17 and barely a 16. No idea why

Bro, in this video you can see my mounted buffs, Use your best mounted general with best mounted gear setup and assistant general combo and check what's your mounted buffs if those are lower then work on increasing those and hope you are attaching subcity while killing monsters on solo.
