I was struggling to diagnose the issue of my coffee machine tripping the circuit. I followed your steps and it managed to figure out that it is the heating element that needs replacement. Thank you for making this video!
Thanks for the great video. My New Hobby is tripping the GFCI when I turn it on. If I unplug the wires to the heating element, it does not trip it. But when I test for continuity with the heating element, it seems fine. The machine is 2 years old. What would the next step be to diagnose it? Thanks.
Thank you so much for the great videos. I was gifted a 10+ year old Gaggia Classic. I noticed there's a small electric current on the metal casing when turned on and I have gotten zapped more than a few times. There are only two prongs on the power plug.... In your experience, is this worth fixing and if so, how do I fix it? Or is this unit too much of a hazard at this point. Thanks in advance!
Thanks sir, I have an Italian house espresso machine, it is plug comes with three poles one of them of course is for earthing, I am Egyptian based where we do not have an earthing pole in our houses, am afraid to plug it, before use is there any damage or trouble could happen? thanks in advance.
My machine’s Ulka pump protector wire melted . I removed the protection and it worked for 5 minutes and then went back to tripping the breaker. Heating element is fine and heats up the boiler.. Not sure what’s next. Any thoughts ?
Thanks for this video. I checked with the meter one pole to boiler wall and and there is continuity. I checked the other pole to boiler wall and there is none. All thermostats have continuity. Does this mean the boiler element went bad. The water is not hot enough 95 F. There is not steam. Only water comes out. The light doesn't come on. This is Saeco Aroma machine. Thanks
Thank you for this great video! An issue I’m having with my BZ Hobby is that it’s tripping the Board RCD after few minutes. Sometimes within seconds and sometimes after few minutes. I checked the element for continuity and I don’t get a beep but I can make coffee when it’s lot tripping the RCD. Also added and gfi on the socket but it continues to trip the RCD instead. Any advice? Do I have to replace the element? Thanks in advance and I take full responsibility for any actions.

Unfortunately, without the ground wire, you should not test the machine by having one of the probes touch the body or boiler like I show.
@@1st-lineequipment Ya. That's what I figured. I decided to buy another machine. I love espresso but I don't love it to death 😄💀

So how do you check solenoid then ?
