- Determined to get back at Brooke for ruining Forrester Creations, Stephanie forces Amber to reveal that Brooke is pregnant, then crashes a press conference and flames Brooke to the media, telling them about Brooke's pregnancy.

Stephanie found out shortly after this that Deacon was the father. This would have been the PERFECT amunition she needed to get rid of Brooke, FOREVER! But Stephanie chose not to tell the family or the press, because she knew what it would do to FC's reputation(of course that could easily be fixed by firing Brooke) and that it would devastate Bridget, who is the REAL victim here.
That's back when then the show was soooo good! Miss Stephanie!!

In case anyone is wondering, yes, the public and the media DO know that Ridge IS NOT Hope's biological father because after Brooke's pregnancy was revealed, the reporters starting asking the Forrester men if any of them was the father and Ridge was the FIRST one that they asked. Ridge just put his hands up and very calmly and casually said,"It's not me."
She has Deacon there. Brooke is pregnant by Deacon. But now it's 2021 and now she has a problem with him being in town
This was technically Hope's first day, while her last day is literally today.

As it turned out, it was her business and everyone else in the family's business. It's a pity they didn't know at the time that Brooke was having an affair with her daughter's husband - what would the family and press have said then?!
Bridget would've had tears in her eyes and buried her face in her hands. The reporters would've wanted to talk to Bridget but she'd push them away telling them to leave her alone and would've run off. Brooke and Deacon would've tried to go after her but the reporters would've gotten in their way. Eric, Rick, Ridge and Thorne would be standing there with their eyes and mouths open wide. Stephanie would've been watching the reporters swarm around Brooke and be smiling in satisfaction believing that they're finally going to get rid of Brooke once and for all and get their company back. The family would've immediately and unanimously voted her out as CEO. They'd tell her that her bedroom line and Belief formula are going as after this scandal they can not have any connection of her in FC again. Basically, Stephanie would've finally won!
I soooooooo wish! Golden viewing, and another Emmy, for sure! If only.....

Deacon wanted to raise Hope with Brooke, he really did. But Brooke wouldn't let him. I don't think Hope really knows how much Deacon loved her because Brooke doesn't tell her, she's far too busy trying to get Hope to see Ridge as her father. When Hope was a baby and Brooke wouldn't let Deacon near Hope, Macy snuck Hope out of Brooke's place so Deacon could spend some time with her. Brooke was not thrilled.
I wouldn't let my daughter's husband raise our child *with* me either. After sleeping with son-in-law, that would be 'salt in the wound' for daughter...

If the truth had come out then, FC would not be able to keep her around considering what it would do to their reputation, they'd tell her,"Get your stuff, get out and never come back!" The press would have had a field day, they'd probably have her on the next cover of the fashion magazine with the captions,"The Fashion Tramp". Brooke's life would have been ruined and she'd never be able to show her face in public again, not to mention no other fashion company would hire her after that.

The reporters first suspected that Ridge was the father. So they asked Ridge if there's something he wants to say but Ridge assured the reporters that Brooke's pregnancy has got nothing to do with him.
So the media does know that Ridge is not Hope's biological father as he said so, himself.

I'm not sure if the media knows the truth or not, either. Stephanie found out that Brooke was pregnant with Deacon's child shortly after this. The only reason she didn't blab to the press about it was because she knew what it would do to Bridget. She didn't give a damn what it would do to Brooke.
Whip was there. He didn't know who the father was at the time but he could tell by the look on Brooke's face that she did not want to reveal the father so he stood up and said he was the father. Whip saved Brooke because he saw it as an opportunity to get in big at FC.
Back then, the writing was incredible!!! Stephanie always held Brooke accountable! But then there were times you liked Brooke too. I remember rushing home from school or work to put on B&B. Not anymore.

@ashleyslaundry Couldn't agree more about Stephanie, but I have to say that I really don't like the way Steffy is being written. She IS turning into another Brooke (same with Bridget, unfortunately), but whether or not she gets that far remains to be seen. I am very disappointed that every "good"/high moral character seems to be turning this way. Brad Bell needs to pull his head in.
