The Planets Where Life Could Be Found - Finding Extraterrestrial Life in our Solar System

  • If there is life out there, where can we find it? At one time, the rest of the solar system was assumed to be a bleak wasteland. The rocky planets in the neighbourhood were either too cold and dry, like Mars, or too hot, like Venus. Other planets were gas giants, making the possibility of life on them or their moons extremely remote. It appeared like Earth was a wonder within a miracle.

    This video delves into the profound question of whether we are alone in the universe with depth and clarity. The discussion on the potential origins of life and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence is thoughtfully explored, leaving viewers with a sense of wonder and curiosity about the mysteries beyond our own planet.

    Time, matter (both visible and dark) and evolution did all this. A lot can happen over 13.8? billion years and it has. Everything born, grows, learns, adapts and manipulates it's environment. The end result brings awe and wonderment.

    A major design argument for the universe - is fine tuning - it is actually many aspects of our universe which have to be just as they are to make it possible for life to exist.
    For example - its very technical things like the ratio of the mass of an electron to a proton so what's the Realms of that. If it was slightly different to what is - there'd be no atoms and no molecules and of course - no atoms no molecules we wouldn't be here.
    The electromagnetic and gravitational forces are just right to allow suns to exist. And stars and so on and our star has just the right mass - if it was bigger - it would be unstable.
    We would not have this stability and so on - and so many of these things are just right for life on earth - and this is a problem - for the Chance Origin of the universe, indeed.

      Nothing wrong with having some faith in something. One of the problems with everyone becoming self loving and dispassionate towards one another is that so many have lost faith in everything, not just God. So, I say let people believe in something and don't demonize them for having faith.
      From a friend who works in a science field "I can't say God exists, nor can I say he doesn't. The furthest I can trace back in history is the big bang... Before that will forever be a mystery. Is there a God such as what I've read in the Bible? Science tells me no... but is their a creator of our universe? Most likely yes but I as a inadequate and feeble human on a dot in the vastness of the universe will never be able to begin to grasp this creation."

    As usual these types of videos are calling microbes and such "life".
    I would think we'd have to be more intelligent and more cautious as a species than we currently are, in order to have any hope of safely interacting with alien microbes.
    There is too much we don't know about how to safeguard our bodies from earthbound threats to even remotely consider encounters with ALIEN microscopic life. We are not ready for first contact.

    • @ashleyobrien4937
      @ashleyobrien4937 10 месяцев назад

      no, that is just your fear of the unknown-alien microbes will not pose a biological hazard to humans. The biochemistry involved in any form of pathogenesis absolutely requires compatibility, like the same reason trees don't catch the flu, or why people don't get leaf rot. If it was an intelligently designed weapon that is a different story, but that is exceedingly unlikely.

    If we didn’t live in a universe “perfect for life,” we wouldn’t be alive to be asking why it is “perfect for life.” Does “perfect for life” somehow suggest that life is perfect? Is the universe really “perfect for life?”
    If nothing truly exists until wave functions collapse through observations, perhaps that’s why we’re now seeing distant galaxies in their infancy that supposedly predate the Big Bang. Have mere observations of deep distant space, somehow gave birth to these distant galaxies? We see all these distant galaxies for only as they used to look. Makes you wonder what could possibly be there now? Life? Would that make humanity, “God,” to that life? What had observed us into our existence… Maybe truth, truly is stranger than fiction.
