I wish we’d heard Freya and Keelin’s wedding vows… Hayleys letter was beautiful but I wish they’d incorporated it somewhere else. Freya and Keelin deserved their special moment just for them 💖
Kol officiating the wedding was priceless. I wish the whole family could have been there for this. Finn, Esther, Mikael, Hayley. We've never seen the whole family together on screen. I know the others wouldn't have been thrilled but Freya loved Mikael and Finn.
@@lordofalltime It's just that he's been gone for over 1,000 years. All the others have either been alive or resurrected at some point, but Henrik was only shown briefly in two scenes and only mentioned once or twice after. There was no way to bring him back. Even his siblings seem to never mention him to be honest. He probably found peace and wasn't on the Other Side otherwise Esther probably would have put his spirit in someone's body like Finn and Kol in season two.
@@notanaveragestudent Like I said, the others wouldn't be thrilled lol. But Freya loved Mikael and Finn. Mikael was a loving father to her and she adored him. If he had been alive she probably would have asked him to walk her down the aisle. She might not have wanted Esther there granted, unless she made her peace with her when Esther sacrificed herself for her children. I just felt it would have been nice to see the whole family for once, especially at Freya's wedding where they all could be happy. Even if it showed the others spirits watching would have made that wedding even more perfect. Just my opinion.
@@BrianR246 Nope I don't think that's a good idea. Mikael and Esther were really bad parents to Klaus. I wouldn't want them to come alive again. He deserves a life in which he wouldn't be seeing those disgusting people again. I don't like Finn either. He's better off dead.
The brotherly hug in the end made the entire episode, and Bex and Kol showing up. JoMo and Gillies are such amazing actors, and their chemistry is unreal. Declan will however never be Father Kieran, who had such PRESENCE. I'm still superdisappointed we didn't get a supernatural Peaky Blinders-version of The Originals with Father Kieran running the human faction, Francesca running the wolves, Vincent for the witches and Marcel running the vampires with Elijah and his Strix, and Klaus triggering everyone with his volatile and unpredictable self. 🙄 Man...... that would have been IT. In another life, eh?
The Haylijah flashbacks this episode are so perfect and show how destined those two were for each other. I’m so happy the whole family came together for it and that we got to see Davina again. Also I love how much you seem to genuinely love Freya and Keelin, it’s so wholesome. I enjoy them but you make me really love them more and they’re often overlooked in the fandom.
The relationship between Elijah and Klaus, like in TVD with the Salvatores, it's always something great to watch... It's always been amazing to me the way they've manage to portray almost from day 1 the dynamic between the brothers, even in the early episodes in their introduction and those times when they go at each other... Klaus, the big bad wolf, one of the strongest beings in the world and at the end of the day he looks at Elijah like a little brother watching his big brother, seeking either his council, his help or his approval every time a tricky situations comes up; specially in scenes like the one in this episode or the one in 3x22 where Klaus literally is in the most dire situations and he looks at Elijah like: "Big bro, tell me what to do... Help me"
I love the Haylijah scenes they were soulmates I cant believe they didn't get their happy ending they looked amazing together. Also I'm so happy Freya and Keelin got married.
Freya asking Elijah to walk her down the isle is so wholesome. Lovely flashbacks with Haley and Elijah. Keelin is good for Freya, she really loves and understands her. Both brothers walking her down the isle is so sweet. Love the wedding, and how you can see just how important it is for Hope to be with her family. Last scene with the brothers this episode was perfect.
The wedding was the best part of this episode I honestly thought when first watching that they wasn’t gonna do it. The little moment where Hope feels like she’s apart of “always and forever” warms my heart bc she always was even if she didn’t know it ♾💜 #bloop
Love that we got to see Freya and Keelin get married, this episode made my heart happy but I am not ready for the next episode and totally not ready for the finale!
So much amazing stuff in this episode - obviously the wedding 🥰, also the beautiful pain that is all these flashbacks, the letter and everything Haylijah related & and then to put the cherry on the top there is the Klaus and Elijah hug at the end (barely anything said, just brotherly love and kind of the *real* reunion of the two after the everything that went down since the s4 finale).
this episode is beautiful and sad in every way possible, certainly one of my favorites in this season and maybe out of the whole series. I shared tears with you Jer, you were not alone 😂

Ayo Jer. Because the finale falls on a Sunday this time around, will you be releasing the finale on Sunday or just skip the Sunday upload? Drew Barrymore is such an amazing actress & we get the sexy TImothy Olyphant with his awkward smile in the perfect/worst situations... Okay, I need to know if I'm the only one who thinks like that. I found the moment Freya and Keelin chose for their wedding horrific. I get it, they are Mikealsons and it's hard ever to find a good one because bad things always happen. But there still could have been a better moment than when three important people died recently. I found them both so selfish in this episode. It's just my opinion.
It’s just you then. They’ve lost too many people at this point. It think they did it because they needed something to make everyone feel better and give hope for the future. Also just because the thought of getting married gives people a sense of safeness because you promise forever
Often in the midst of tragedy life finds a way to move forward and we find a way to move on, life affirming acts like marriage and babies are the natural outcome, it’s what keeps life moving forward and helps us remember that life cycles have the good the bad and the ugly but there are still beautiful moments and outcomes that we have to look forward to.
@@ilanakarpI understand that, but I also try to see it from my point of view. If my mother would die and my aunt would have her wedding a few weeks later, without the date being decided before her death, but just like that, I would be actuelly pissed. Because to me it would feel like she didn't care about her death. Of course you have to go on with your life at some point, but in my opinion there is a period of mourning and I would find it just disrespectful. (I emphasize "in my opinion" very strongly here, because people on the Internet always feel attacked very quickly)
@@9holly502 I agree and in fact in my religion you would have to wait until the 11 month period of mourning is over to get married but in the land of television where we are dealing with 1000 years old individuals time seems to be a very different construct than it is for the rest of us. In television la la land characters are written to fulfill the construct of the writers ideals. I think with all the heartache that was written into this season and the heartache that is yet to come that they needed an episode where love got a win.
