Hi, great video and thoroughly explained. I am installing a station at a building that will require little maintenance, will this upload to the internet if there is no computer in the building? I suppose my question is, will I be able to monitor the data if the station and the Live are left unattended? Thanks.

Excellent report. Unfortunately not compatible with my tablet, because its in a horizontal holder - i will not buy a Davis weather station before they fix this. This is NOT A MINOR THING. Come on, Davis, we are in 2021. Every good app need to be orientation independent.

Very interesting video. Coincidentally I bought a weathlink live myself which arrived today. I have had a Vantage Pro 2 for a number of years now along with a Vue console as a secondary display. It was quite easy to setup though I am still waiting for the Pro subscription to be applied which, incedentally is quoted as monthly price but you have to stump up a years worth. Unfortunately for anyone else to view your station on Weatherlink they need to create an account although it is free. I have the Vantage Pro feeding a raspberry pi also which is running Weewx. Its good software but not very intuitive.
I did try to find your station on WL but the only pub shed seems to be in the US. Mine is Ulverston which I think is visible.
Looking at your videos we have similar interests. I also brew beer. I have an Old Speckled Hen going into the Grainfather tomorrow.

Thanks for your comment! How are you finding the vantage pro 2? Our next review is for the vp2, comparing it to the vue. Glad to hear you are also a home brewer - I enjoyed using the grain father, great bit of kit that! Stay tuned for our review of the hopcat 65L homebrew machine coming soon! Cheers, Ben

@@PubSheds I look forward to the hopcat review. 65L is one hell of a size. I find the GF is big enough. I also has the Grainfather Fermenter which is a really good bit of kit with its dual valve at the bottom and temperature control.
I got the VP2 first in 2011 and aded the Vue console a few years later. Both consoles have their plus and minus points. I tend to prefer the VP2 console. I didn run a small PC with Weather Display software that took a feed from the VP2 via a USB interface and ran that for a number of years. I am now more geared towards Weewx on the Raspberry Pi. Though since getting the Weatherlink Live the other day and upgrading the subscription to Pro I am quite liking the results. Only thing I don't like about Weather link is the problem I mentioned earlier. People have to sign up to WL to view your station.
      Cheers, Rob

@@wrongway2001 Funnily enough I used weather display with USB weatherlink too, via a Vantage Vue console. I find the WL interface is nice and really intuitive. I also push my data to Wunderground from the WL website so people can view my data without having to sign up, on Pro subscription the update rate to Wunderground would also be better I presume compared with the standard subscription? Cheers

Pub Sheds I signed up earlier today with Weather Underground. Although had the Vantage for years I had never bothered with WU. I’m having a prob though. I am listed as an active station on the map but when I go to open the full page I get an error 404. The data looks valid the station is IULVER3 if you have any ideas.
I might revisit Weather Display as I have a nice Intel NUC not doing much at the moment.

Correction...The full screen is showing now. After delving a little deeper it seems that it can take up to a day or two before the WU displays are fully established for new accounts.
