@@shavarez Noise reduction is a useful tool and process. I was thinking more about noise reduction late in the mix, as opposed to removing it at the source. It's difficult to remove unwanted sounds without also removing ones you want to keep in the same frequencies. For example, I made a mess trying to remove previously un-noticed microphone hiss in a recording of cymbal crashes. Had to settle for less removal in that case.
Question: when you imported the stems why didn't you just tab to transient for the kick and then align it to the grid since you've got the bpm already? Not saying you're doing it wrong but just curious what the benefit is of eyeballing the transients to match. Thanks in advance 💪🏾
I produce and I started with that and then I started performing on the tracks themselves and mixing all of it together. Omg I’m getting better at doing both because vocals change EVERYTHING. I can mix music fine but my voice sits on top of the track no matter what. I’m just now able to get my voice in the track instead of being all loud on it. Strange how getting vocals on there changed everything so much. I’ve never done 2 track recording that seems sucky because you’re like stuck with what u for. I’m used to multi. Track outs are pricey if you’re buying the license outright.
Goodmorningg I wanted to ask you a question about wavs and track stems .... do you think buying the stem would be better for the overall sound of the song? Or both is alright .... going to buy this beat soon & was just wondering
Mixing vocals with a two track beat is not easy coming from experience as you get a lot beats that are mixed two loud, distorted or certain instrument's eating up alot of the mid range frequency for vocals to sit. Many of them have way too much reverb on ambient sounds. You can only do so much cutting out frequencies to the point that you are destroying the beat. That is why in the industry you see top Mix Engineers mixing an entire session with the vocal stacks and instrumental track arrangment all as multi STEMS.
That Elite class is where it's at!
Top Tier breakdown.
A 3rd grader could learn the difference after this.
Man As A Producer This Was A Game Changer, I overlooked the fact that the levels dont have to be mixed

I noticed you don't have a video on Pro-Tools Preferences.
Do you keep the default settings?
Cake was a good analogy. You can't un-bake a cake. I've also heard: Noise reduction is like trying to remove chocolate from a cake.
So what should I use instead of noise reduction

Y’all the besttt
Are two track beats limited before you do the mix or do you ask the producer for the beat with the limiter off?
