- Hello everyone I have made a video today on how to replace your Peugeot 407 ( SW, Sedan, Coupe) Pollen/Cabin air filter. In this short video you will learn how to remove and replace your pollen filter. You will learn about 2 different types of filters and how to find out which one you will need. I hope you will find a video use full. I am really glad to kick start my channel with this short but use full video. Also big thankyou to everyone watching my videos and Subscribing my channel.

Your car is similar to my own. Except mine is a saloon SE spec with small mono-screen, not the big screen I wish I had!

My 407 when bought had full DEALER service hsitory. Cabin Filter was NEVER changed in 100k miles. The result? It had a lot of mould. Pretty sure if I sent it to a university, we could have discovered a new lifeform on it. Change your filters people! Also, while you are cleaning out the filter, if you go to ECP or other parts store, you can pick up a can of AC disinfectant, I normally use Normfest Viro Dry Shot. Close the access panel WITHOUT filter, AC off, all vents open, temp set to low, fan speed high (according to ServiceBox), set it off in the car and wait 10 minutes. It sanitises your AC system. Make sure the can is warm and shake it up!

@@driver25110 it's fairly easy is just the actual filter removal and install can be a bit tricky then installing a new filter try to press it a bit so it take less space, but be careful not to rip it apart. Good luck

@@Mad4FrenchCars I went one step further and sprayed foamy air-con cleaner bought at Lazada into the pollen filter compartment as well as into all the 4 air vents together consumed a full spray can’s worth.

I finally realized, why the pollen filter is on a such a shitty spot. It is easy, when the car has steering wheel on the right (UK version), but for us, driving on left side of the road, the placement is the same, but there are pedals in the way. Now I finally realize, why they did it. Even though the car is from France, apparently some UK mate managed to sneak in and sabotage it for us, driving on the "wrong" side of the road. :D :D :D
Its clearly a punishment. Now I get it.

Could you tell me how many kilometres your car done with this filter?
I am not sure it's ever been changed before to be honest and now it's been around 20k miles since I have changed it. I think it should be replaced every 20k miles but most of people don't ever change it unless it starts to stink too much

I got caught out on his filter, mine is 2008, I automatically ordered the thin long one, it was wrong, I should have removed plastic cover first & check ☹️
I have done same mistake so I have 2 filters for pre facelift 407 in a loft. 2008 is tricky year as that is the year then it changed to facelift.
Make it 1 minute video for the love of God.
Not everyone is a quick learner. But you can always skip through a video😜

Awful to do on a left hand drive car, pedals are conpletely in the way
worst f'n design ever mangled my one so much deformed trying squeeze in over 1 hr back & forth yanked out very awquard angle ripped in two pulling back out after doing oil / change filter air filter 😫
Really sorry to hear that. It's even worse if your car is LHD as you have pedals in a way and that makes it even more complicated.
It can be a pain to replace it you are 100% right they should have created easier access to it
