I haven't been playing it daily, but I have played every Civ game since the first one came out for the Amiga back in 1992.
As some one who has played since civ 1,its crazy to see how you good you became after only starting at civ v. Nice man 👍
The dual Hansa-commercial hub-aqueduct-city set-up is actually feasible and I’ve done it quite a lot. There is a triple set-up which is harder to pull off…
12:30 they also placed which pantheons suit the different leaders best too if i'm interpreting it correctly
...and I wondered why the did not add Portugal to god of the sea. I recently played them on an atoll map with the mod sukritact's oceans and as I had also Auckland in the game, it went very well. (On the other hand it of course depends on the map situation and Indonesia and Maori will still benefit even more from god of the sea)
FYI: that pasture looks that way because there is no citizen working the tile. Just like Farms and Windmills, the improvement model shows whether the tile is worked or not. I believe all improvements do this but for some it's not as clearly visible.
Ahhhh, I was aware of it for the windmills, but not for the other tiles. That’s super cool 👌
Love these monthly Reddit reactions. You should be proud of this content, VB
"4" for God of the Sea tells me Kaine plays on Pangea maps. 🙄
Thank you for sharing your personal history. I enjoyed hearing your perspective.
I'm in my late 50s - being playing Civ since Civ 1 so that picture resonated with me 🙂
Exactly what I thought, I'm 53 and have travelled through all the Civilization games since part one.
Wilhelmina definitely drinks a couple glasses of gin each evening
I'm glad someone is keeping the civ subreddit accountable for their memes. Loved the story of your dad playing civ when you were younger, don't be afraid to share some more stories :)
Pantheon tier list 👍. Also, thx for doing the luxury resource vid. Was exactly what I was looking for.
That's what I say (think) about 'adjacencies'. I was going through old Potato live streams and he even says DON'T build preserves until late game (though it's one of the first districts to unlock... meaning though a few stupid city states will ask you for one :/)! I LOVE my adjacencies though (I ALWAYS have like 3+ plus 5 com hubs since all you need is a harbor at the mouth of a river... but) if you love your adjacencies I recently played that natural wonder society and now that tile appeal triggers adjacency bonuses, it is INSANE. Machu Pichu is ALWAYS an S-tier wonder for adjacencies but yeah it just gets INSANE when you also include that SS when you think that by late game (if you got Eiffel Tower, maybe those appeal improvement great engineers WITH Mauselium adding a charge) you will have +6 EVERYTHING lol. so good.
Basically always take god of craftsman... cuz in the long run (basically medievel age+) my empire will be covered in strat resources so it's not a bad pantheon IMO... if all your left with is the leftovers. Which you often are.
The dual city industrial zone is actually very easy to do, I do it almost every game
"Religious Settlement"
Wtf? I've never seen that Pantheon in the entire month since I have started playing Civ VI lmao.
A.I was rushing to take it all the time I guess lol.
You can get it if you have early faith output, but if that is the case then there is often a more important one out there like Dance of the Aurora.
I've got Potato McWhiskeys zone layouts guides on my desktop. 😆
Sacred path is only ever going to be a tier 2 pantheon if you're playing Brazil and going for a national parks tourism build.
Otherwise you're going to chop most of your rain forests.
I'm the dad playing tons of Civ for 30 years. I still have my original Civilization box, actually.
Let me clarify - I'm not the dude in the picture. I'm just like him. :)
Like others here, I absolutely love these reddit comment videos, they are funny AND interesting.
That pantheon tier list would look differently in many spots if I would create one. Sacred path should be on the same tier as dance of the aurora and desert folklore. All three of these are great if you A) have the matching territory and B) want to get a religion, then you can pick work ethic and have a very good production boost early on (because the AI still doesn't choose work ethic). God of craftsmen is also not bad, because it gives you some benefits even without a religion (it is surely not worse than the pantheons for culture on pastures or plantations).
Comrade Kaine is a civ RUclipsr, fairly new but really good, you should give his channel a peek 😀
This +8 campuse could have been +11 with Australia
My teetotaling mom would be at the very bottom of this list with BaTreau
I can confirm, using sphinx to boost my preserves is exactly how I played Cleo for the first time
❤️
This was really fun. Looking forward to the next one
Continue this series troughout 2023 please. Every month a reddit update
Updatet Tier List with a BBG Mode :D
