For anyone interested, the transport system is designed as a whole, with tram network just making important part in it. In the city center most of the transport is indeed carried by the trams, nevertheless further from the center there are about hundred bus lines busy to ferry people. And as backbone Prague is crossed by the backbone of 3metro lines, which serve the goal of transporting people in fastest manner on longer distance.
To get anywhere You just need to pick good transfers betweenTHEM

This one at 21:50 was a historical tram number 91 that is for tourists going through Prague. There are different types of historical machines running on that line, some of them were built in 1905.

I agree. When an excellent system is in place such as the Prague transit system it can be difficult not to understand how badly it is done in other cities. I did have a chance to rice a Prague Tram car and all I can say is wow! modern clean and efficient is all I can say. Plus a nice lady helped me get off at the right station for the prague Castle!
V té staré "dřevěné" tramvaji jsem rád stával vepředu, u okna vedle kontroleru, když tam bylo místo - bývalo to oblíbené místo dětí, a řidiči nás tam nechávali - dnes by se z toho EU pos... a strejci z EU by tlachali něco o bezpečnosti. Také jsme rádi stávali na schůdkách jedoucí tramvaje, dveře nebyly zavírací, tak jsme se drželi madla z venkovní strany vozu. I jaké bylo naše potěšení naskakovat do rozjíždějící se tramvaje, nebo naopak vyskakovat ještě než vůz zastavil. Bývalo krásné dětství i bez mobilů :-)
Pěkné vzpomínky! Máte pravdu, že dnes by to bylo okamžitě z EU zakázané - divím se, že jsou vůbec tyto provozovány.

Fantastic film, Tim! I didnt know much about Pragues mass transit sytems. But you have managed to film So MANY types of trams in this beautiful city. Its very interesting for me since I am so extremely interested in everything on rails!!! :-D Is there a metro sytem in place? Yes, in Prague there is the metro system about 3 lines. The fourth line will build in the coming years. The Prague Metro is quite new, because the oldest section was built in the mid-1970s. Designer's most interesting stations (in my opinion) are on the green line "A", built in the late 1970s. These stations are color-coded, wall tiles are made of colored, anodized aluminum.

Wow at 21:50 that trolley looks like it is from the 1940's!!! I drove a Boston Type 5 and it was similar to that. A lot more work than just pressing pedals like driving a car or a modern streetcar

there are buses -if you search on my channel for prague buses you notice i got like 3 minutes of total bus videos! :) The metro is quite efficient but I love the tram network in Prague! so much variety!
