These are my favorite rural towns located within about thirty minutes of Murfreesboro, TN. You can live that quiet peaceful life you want in Middle Tennessee without living too far from Murfreesboro's amenities.

Readyville is pronounced by the locals as REEDY-Ville and Arrington is pronounced AIR-Rington.
I may be moving to Bradyville. It will be a huge change for me coming from crazy south Florida.
Hopefully a nice slower change of pace! Not far to drive to Murfreesboro if you need to get to retail/dining/etc.

Hi Rachel, I have a question.
From someone born and raise in the area, what location would you recommend living? We will be relocating to the area in a few months due to hubby’s work relocating. He will work in Lebanon and we found a great church we would like to attend in Murfreesboro. We would like to live half way between the two. But if that’s not possible we will live in Murfreesboro and he will commute to Lebanon.
Hi Danny&Cristin!! There are a few different areas you can live and be a comfortable commute from work. Lascassas and Walter Hill are both really nice unincorporated townships that would be in that area as well. Happy to chat 1:1, my cell is 865-242-1663 :)

Do these small towns have decent apartments to rent?
Are there Manufactured / Modular Home areas in or around Murfreesboro. Need utilities already in.
You won't typically find this type of home inside the city limits of Murfreesboro, but some of the small towns in surrounding counties I will see manufactured homes.
Any advise on where to buy few acre land with a house in an unincorporated areas?
Not enough info to advise you, sorry. Would advise you to look at listings online and filter by your specific criteria.
Any info on Jackson and surrounding area ?
Hi kc! I've never personally lived in west TN, but visiting Jackson reminds me of my hometown Cookeville. Jackson is a nice, medium size city with a lot of the jobs & conveniences you need, without being a super busy city, but you also have a major city about an hour away if you need to get to the airport or something like that.
Murfreesboro used to be a nice little town. Now there are too many refugees from blue states here. They have 49/48 other states to choose from, please pick one of those.
Howdy Jay V 😊 Having met people from all over I can tell you definitively there’s nice people and also a-holes in what the news media would call a red OR a blue state!! Murfreesboro is only continuing to grow in bc of the thriving development of our area, however I am seeing some long term residents moving to small towns like Tullahoma or Woodbury to get back to a slower paced vibe.
