They should make the back up connector, for when you've killed your battery, a phone type connector. This so you can use a jump pack to power it, instead of plugging into another cars 12v.
I was concerned about heat or punctures happening to the air hoses so I protected them with wire loom which is made to protect wiring. They worked great I had to buy 2 different sizes cause in the main engine bay I kept both hoses in one big wire loom I think 1/2 inch and inside under the dash I used a smaller size for the individual hoses and it looks clean and now double protected. Cause if one of those hoses springs a leak or won’t hold the pressure you won’t be able to open the hood. That sucks but I just got the wrangler 392 and couldn’t use the mopar key lock cause the front camera is in the way so this was the next best thing. I don’t like those cheap latches with keys. But thanks for the video it helped me out.
I got the Mopar hood lock…some years later…It works fantastically and the best part it opens with my Jeep key. Even though I love high tech stuff this one seems a little risky!
My grill no longer comes off due to the winch holding it in place. And loosening the winch is more trouble than it's worth! Looks like a cool product though. I like it in theory. I wouldn't mind having one, but not enough to pay $250 for it?
My tazer hood alarm scares them away good enough.. it's gone off more times than I can count and they always flee lol I'm up here in Denver where all your NM criminals like to play
Agreed, would really prefer a manual override for this…. I’ll need to experiment and see if I can push air into this to override an electrical failure.
Things I have learned - 1 Mo NEEDS new grill pins. 2 Misti can burn eye brows off of one's face with a burp. 3. For some reason you have a bonkers long ass screw driver (pun). 4 Thanks to this, I am going to lose sleep over worrying about people in my engine bay. Yep I have been edu'macated today! Peace out lol
I did the installation and now I do really have a question, that I did ask Lasfit, which they don’t answer yet. If the thief cuts, the airline will loose the air pressure and release the air, and open the hood ?
I just installed on my 2021 JLUR 4xe. Essentially, you are always unlocking/locking the mechanism every time you unlock/lock your doors. Maybe there is a fix? (still looking). I feel this will fail eventually because of mechanical wear. Perhaps should have been programmed to press unlock 3x to unlock? Since pressing unlock once, unlocks the driver's door; unlock twice, unlocks all doors. Otherwise great product. I still like it.
It would be nice if it was a usb this would let you use any jump box as most of them have that and not a 12v character goodness can these companies keep up with the times 😉 I would order one with that not saying it is impossible to kill both batteries but you do have 2 in the Jeeps so you would have to f!ck up pretty good to kill both of them
you can probably find a usb to that type of plug instead of the supplied 12v plug. Id have to get it in my hands to figure out which plig it is. And could you not use an air compressor to shot air in the line to open the hood? It may be to strong and damage the mechanism but if Im in a bad spot id risk it. but basically that would mean ive lost or damaged the emergency plug. I really want this since I have the trail cam. Id rather have the bolt hood lock but trail cam is in the way and i dont want to move it over one slot as that would throw the alignment of the camera off. Also, this is lower cost right now I dont want to wait. But I just spent waaaay to much money on a fridge and AAL slide and drawer setup lol.
You two are the most professional ‘tubers out there, way out there! Keep it up! 🤙🏼
🙌🙌🙌 I’m a professional 😂

Thts actually a better idea than the current piece in there. Thts something much more available and eat to get ahold of
You can cut off the middle bottom clips, keep the end clips on the grill and then your able to slide it out.
Lol, my luck, it will go sailing to oncoming traffic 😂
@@JLLIFEOFFROAD I have the same luck. Don’t drive backwards.

I like the Bolt lock better. Had a bad experience with the Stealth.

Agree. Simple installation and no worries if you loose battery power,

Don't say you had a bad experience and then not tell us what is was... until you reply with the whole story... I'm calling BS.
Cut those bottom clips off the grill. The top clips and winch will hold it in place just fine.

Yea, I had to pull the winch also… i really need to replace this one
But so far, working great… I’ll be sure to update if I have any issues in the future. Thanks for watching brother 🙌
Yo sup bro! It’s been a while! Glad to see you’re active on RUclips
Misty has injured herself… we haven’t been able to ride the bikes as often as we had been 😂
Enjoyed your video Bro. 👍🏻. I already have the BOLT hood lock, which allows you to utilize your fob key to Lock/unlock with less installing hassle.
I do like the mechanical function

Couldn't you in theory unplug your air/vacuum lines and manually apply what's needed. Said with all sincerity.
In theory…. My concern would be forcing in to much air, may break it
This is why you don’t buy a Jeep, you NEVER stop putting crap all over it lol. Already put 5k dollars on mine
Lol, hobbies cost money…. Can’t get around it lol. Investing in living life 🙌
you've gotten off cheap.. ha ha
Does the pump make noise inside the cab when you lock/unlock the vehicle?
It does… it’s fairly quiet and short.
