I was a 10 years of age boy when this beautiful yacht was launched on the River Clyde in Glasgow. She was built for my godfather in 1961 and I was at her launch. She was and still is a classic. Over the 16 years the old man had her before he died we sailed half the world and back. I spent every summer on board and we loved her. I am so glad she is still is on the seas. I get what one or two people say about her continuing 60's look - but in her day she was stunning and in many respects still is! Lovely video.
I remember a very similar yacht anchored off a village Croatian named Cavtat. Near Dubrovnik. This was when Yugoslavia was still in existence. That yacht had Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor aboard. Fun times, back when. 🍸🍸🍸😘😉
I do love the classic style of a gentleman’s yacht, there is something timeless and much more sophisticated about the lines, would have one of these any day over some sleek modern creation. The only thing I would change is the furniture in the main saloon where I would have old leather sofas and chairs that would be more in keeping with the classic style, everything else is fine loved the light airy look.
Wow Beautiful luxurious Ship .It be interesting if they help out on the PROPELLSTION by installing rotorsails and ship kites to use the wind to pull this interesting yacht 😅

She was one of the yachts in the film - When Eight Bels Toll with Anthony Hopkins, Robert Morley and Nathalie Delon. The film was released in 1971.

Why would you want to ruin a stunning classic. If not your taste look at something built in 2024. This thing is gorgeous.
