    Tip: After disconnecting the bigger lines with the 13 mm wrench, pull them out and gently lift them up. This will give easier access to the 11 mm wrench while unscrewing the smaller lines. Do the same thing while installing back the lines. Start with the smaller lines, pulling up the bigger lines then finish with the bigger lines ;)

      @@juanrodriguez-zw5qk Hola hay más videos en RUclips, pero básicamente se trata de tener un cable vagcom y el programa o el aparato que utiliza el African.
      Yo voy a intentar cambiar el módulo eléctrico y si no puedo tendré que cambiar el ABS entero. Suerte con el cambio...

    07:00 - Topping off brake fluid, depressing brake pedal halfway and blocking it from moving, releasing pressure on driver's sides
    11:45 - Removing defective ABS unit
    17:55 - Installing rebuilt ABS unit
    22:20 - Releasing brake pedal
    23:05 - Bleeding braking system, topping off brake fluid
    35:23 - Installing back coolant reservoir, connecting battery
    36:50 - Coding new ABS module, calibrating steering angle sensor, clearing fault codes
    49:00 - Setting date and time
    50:50 - Going for a test drive
    52:13 - ABS back to function, enjoying drive

    Hi.
    My 2009 a6 c6 avant abs is broken. Was thinking of getting a 2nd hand part from ebay while I get my abs repaired to the US.
    My part is 4F0164571AT.
    seen few abs on ebays but the last part were AB or Aa or DA.
    Can I use that & will it be compatible?

      You got the part number wrong. It should be 4F0 614 517 AT.

    I have been having what seems to be the same issue on my 07’ A6 (similar spec to yours). I usually get ABS/ESP alarm followed by Parking Brake Malfunction randomly when stopped. Sometimes I can go for miles before it triggers, but once it does it alarm each time I come to a stop. The pedal will also go all the way to the floor if I push it past the braking position due to no back pressure on the pedal. The car stops fine though. I just can no longer stand the beeping and think maybe this ABS or ESP module could be the culprit?
    The part number listed on my unit is 4F0 614 517 AA (the second ‘A’ looks like an upside down ’V’ though for some reason)

    Hey I’m currently looking for a ESP unit but I’m finding trouble with the exact unit that I need, and it led me to this question. At the end of the unit there are 2 and 3 numbers (009 on top, 03 on bottom) which are the numbers that I have trouble finding the match with, but are those numbers apart of the unit? And if I use a part without those numbers what would happen?

      It has to be the exact same number. What can be a little different is the letters at the end but you still need to make sure it is compatible with your vehicle. What is the part number on your unit?

    Hi mate, I do have the same issue of your front panel, only during driving the ABS/ESP mal function firstly and then the advise of the Parking Break. But in my case, right handbrake calliper works fine, but left doesn't at all. Did you have that problem?

    I want to change my rear brake pads and rotors. I need to open the epb... I have the same obd tool you have. Can i open the epb with that tool? If so, what steps do I take? I do not want to cause any trouble codes or failures. Kind regards Martin from the Netherlands

      Yes you can. The following videos will show you how. The last one has more details. Make sure a battery charger is connected the whole duration of the job to avoid potential damage to the motors because of a battery draining out since the ignition will be on the whole time. Turn off the MMI, the A/C and the lights to limit power consumption.

    I got same problem esp fault but when I turn the car on and I start drive after 10 min drive is show esp fault and is lost the gears from the dashboard?

      Hi. I am not sure why the gears display disappears from the dashboard. We may have different middle dashboard displays. Mine kept showing it. Yours may be hiding it when the ESP Fault is displayed. Fixing your ESP issue may fix that issue as well.

    Greetings! My 2007 Audi A6 3.2 Quattro continues to get a “Tyre pressure System Malfunction” error code while I drive for a couple miles. I’ve checked the pressure on all my wheels and realize it’s not that- do you think it has to do with the ABS module and what you did here in this video?

      No I don't think so. When your car is equipped with the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), an electronic valve is installed on each wheel to read the tire pressure and report it to the central system. If one of the electronic valves have failed or is deprogrammed, you will get warnings like this. You may need to replace all the electronic valves and program the new ones into the TPMS. I have no experience with this myself unfortunately to guide you step by step through this but I'm sure there are enough info online. The easiest but expensive way would be to have the system fixed by an authorized Audi shop.

      @@ThatAfricanGuy awesome thank you for your insight. If I check my tire pressure regularly, do you think it is urgent for me to replace these sensors? I have other fixes I need to work, such as replacing seals due to an engine leakage that may be causing excess white smoke from my exhaust pipe and oil smells coming from my A/C system :(

      @@jadierr No the TPMS is not an urgent issue as long as you manually check the tire pressure yourself once in a while.

    What is the correct part number for AWD ABS Module? I’ve a 2005 A6Q3.2

      There is not a unique part number. It may differ from model year to model year. The part number is engraved on top of the ABS unit in the metal part. You may need to wipe dirt to properly see it.

    After i change the ABS pump and i want to vent the pump I can do it on the brake calipers ? Because I don't have your tool.
    It must be coded the new unit ?

      You can let gravity push the oil out but it will take a lot of time. Just make sure the brake fluid reservoir does not go empty because it will damage your master cylinder. Yes, the new unit must be coded. Check the description for the time code where I showed how to code it.

    Can the failed ABS module lead to a steering angle sensor fault code?

      If you only get the code for the steering angle sensor, I'd suggest you just calibrate it first to see if it goes away. I have shown how to calibrate it in the video. Check the time anchors in the description for shortcuts.

      The scan tool I used does the same job as VCDS. The interface just looks different. But it is easy to get confused so I understand your frustration. To find the number to save, watch carefully from time 2:00 of the video. I first read the fault codes, then I activated the function test, then I revealed the module coding value you are referring to. You go to "03 - Antilock brakes" then "07 - Code module" to see the number.
