Dean said in an interview that he and Seth were supposed to come out at the end of Summerslam to stop Braun from cashing in on Roman but Brock wouldn't allow it. Instead they did that next day on Raw.
To be fair they were faces who had both successfully cashed in on some member of the shield to become world champions so then coming out was extremely hypocritical. When they did do it I was pissed in saw it as a heel move and Braun putting together a team to take them down was the biggest baby face move. So Brock stopping it makes more sense
@@adultishgambino1tbf the MITB briefcase is an unfair thing because the champion has to be aware every time they have a big match because the holder can just come in, beat them down and take the title off their hands just by cashing in at a bad time. So for Dean and Seth to help out Roman when he was down when Braun was cashing in makes things more fair. Big guy has to face two healthy guys and the exhausted world champ. Yeah totally unfair and heelish by the Shield.

I really wish they used Ziggler's cash in to push him as the company's top star. That reaction on the post 'mania Raw was one of the best cash ins ever.
I'll defend the Titan Towers MITB match forever, it was zany fun and much needed at the time. Better that than a quiet ladder match which would've been so much worse. Plus Asuka was amazing throughout, AJ and Bryan fighting into Vinc'es office, it was just fun. Plus 2020 gave us Asuka, Kair vs Bayley and Sasha. Fantastic stuff
Facts that was a good booking since there was no fans at that moment. That was definitely 👍 a great way to book the MITB MATCH WITH BOTH MENS AND WOMENS HAPPENING AT THE SAME TIME 🎉🎉🎉
Honestly I agree that Brock shouldn't have won MITB but the Beast Box segment on Raw was some of the best things that happened in 2019 especially on 2019 Raw and we know how bad 2019 Raw was
Two biggest mistakes: 1. WWE not hiring Adam to book storylines, leaving us to thoroughly enjoy the "How Adam Would Book..." series; 2. Not having Adam do more "Worst of" lists. He does a lot, but I want even more. These are where his writing skills and attitude come across best. I absolutely love them!
Lol I think he said that he hates doing those. Like he’d rather just focus on the positives, which is obviously understandable, but yeah… he avoids them as much as possible 😂
Carmella beating Charlotte almost immediately after Charlotte broke asukas streak was ridiculous. Just wasting the effects of beating asuka and making her seem irrelevant
I think if Asuka won the SD Woman’s Title and swerved everyone with having Carmella cash-in against Nia Jax, it would’ve saved Asuka’s streak and shown Carmella to be a crafty tactician. Just a thought.
Yeah Asuka should've won the title from Charlotte at WrestleMania and kept her streak alive until someone built up enough momentum to beat her later, and what do you know? A certain someone happened to get hot in summer 2018 and grew enough overwhelming fan support to main event and win the next year's WrestleMania. But nah, who would possibly want to see Becky Lynch be the one to end Asuka's streak over another overdone Charlotte title reign?
#1 Is definitely well deserved. Cashing in on a midcard title is ridiculous enough, but to fail to cash in is ludicrous. The fact that Theory came out of that mess and survived is remarkable.
Theory didn't have a choice. Roman is the forever champion. He was going to fail on that. No other winner has had that problem. But he should have successfully cashed in on the US Title for sure.
@stingersplash It was another case of WWE writing themselves into a corner. They had an unstoppable champion and a young MITB winner that wasn't ready to beat him, so they changed the MITB concept. But cashing in on Reigns and losing is definitely better than what they did.
Honestly I think if a wrestler hasn't won any title in the company and they cashed it on a midcard title would be fine but for Theory Triple H freaking booked that so wrong
Was going to leave the same comment myself. Thought this would be #1. Doesn't matter if it counted as a Carmella win. Having a man retrieve the briefcase in the first ever women's MITB match was bonkers.
If I remember right, the original plan when WWE gave Otis the briefcase was for him to cash in on the *tag-team titles.* Which might make even less sense than what they pulled with Theory two years later. I remember when the company line was that if a wrestler didn't want the world title, they didn't belong there. Those were the days...and it wasn't that long ago, either...
You didn’t even list the two worst part about the theory cash in. First is that Seth had been beaten down so much by Bobby it was ridiculous that he could even walk in kayfabe. Two, IT WAS AN OPEN CHALLENGE, Seth literally made it an open challenge but no one answered the first time, just Bobby that jumped him. Theory wasted his brief case to used it on a guy beat an inch away from death that still an open challenge and lose. No idea how he was able to come back from that and have a decent US title run
Unpopular opinion time: The 2020 Women’s MitB holding the championship instead of the contract was an amazing idea, and the promo Becky cut the next night announcing her pregnancy and literally handing Asuka the title after she had to vacate it was not only great, but it made sense. How are you going to cash in on Vacant championship? You don’t, you just make the contract the title. Oh, and I forgot to mention, Austin Theory losing on a mid-card cash in would have been great for his character if he had just lost his mind and been a lot more ruthless in his matches. Like if he had become 2009 Randy Orton and just started Murdering Rollins and Lashley with a chair every week and then won the title, it would’ve been a great failed cash in storyline. But he’s still just Austin Theory.
He wasn’t the same Austin Theory after the cash in… you definitely saw a more serious shift in him. He seemed ruthless at first (only on Dolph) but after that it did fade away. He doesn’t carry the selfie stick anymore, but still has the same narcissistic side of the old Theory.
Number 1: Austin Theory return to NXT as Mr. MITB and was teasing the idea that he could cash in on Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship. If he was going to lose to anyone else besides Roman Reigns, Bron Breakker was the best choice. Number 2: Austin Theory cashed in his MITB contract on Seth Rollins for the United State Championship during an open challenge. Not only did it make the MITB briefcase more pointless but it made no sense to cash in during an open challenge and being the only other person in the match besides the champion! That's like cashing in during the Royal Rumble match for the WWE Championship and you enter at number two instead of number thirty. Number 3: Because of what Austin Theory did (IRL Triple H because he pulled the damn trigger), LA Knight is saying he can cash in on any championship like the IC title. This was funny to say about Otis in 2020 (which is the second biggest mistake WWE has made with MITB), but WHY are they still trying to implant that idea into our minds? If they do that they might as well let a woman cash in for the tag titles and say the winner of the Royal Rumble will main event WrestleMania against any champion in WWE excluding NXT.
Never letting Shelton Benjamin win is their biggest crime with MitB. All the knocks against Shelton, they’ve shown they can cover up with other stars who they actually made world champion. I believed Charlie Haas when he said someone in creative has a grudge against Shelton for whatever reason, otherwise he would have been world champion multiple times by now.
Adam forgot to mention that Theory still decided to cash in even though Seth issued an open challenge for his US Title that night. That was a hot mess from the Bookers' desk.
An open challenge can be canceled or taken back. Also Bobby had already “accepted” the open challenge. The champ can’t avoid a cash-in by calling it off, they have to fight
Alexa winning and cashing in immediately was actually the right move at the time. That was a combination of a way of putting of Ronda winning her first title until Summerslam AND giving her the best talker in the division to pretty much carry the feud. Ronda was always going to dominate the women's division that year, but Alexa was the perfect person to be her first opponent. People tend to underrate just how good Alexa was on the mic.
You'd think WWE would have an easy time making main-eventers out of their midcard given they have several ways they could choose to use. Money in the Bank, the ironman of the Royal Rumble (or winning it), King of the Ring, the 3 on 1 disadvantage spot in Survivor Series. There's probably more that I'm not thinking of.

Honestly even if Edge won the World Title Mr Kennedy should've had a match with Edge and beat him for the World Title. I want to see LA Knight win the briefcase
yeah that briefcase cash in still baffles me, Like, Why on Earth would you cash in on the US Title especially when Seth Rollins provided an OPEN CHALLENGE that night so it didn't warrent the cash in at all. If Theory wanted to go for the US Title that night he easily could of without lookin like a dumbass
The Asuka briefcase is legit one of my favorite booking decisions of all time given the circumstances and the moment we get between Becky and Asuka, two rivals with great respect for each other.
Could Adam do a list of wrestlers who would have been great Money in the Bank holders? Maybe even including wrestlers who were around too early to compete for it?
Removing MITB from WrestleMania should be on here as well. It left a huge void on the Mania cards from that point on, and left a lot of wrestlers that would've had something to do without anything to do. Their attempts to replace it with the battle royals were futile. My question is why the hell did they not have Kennedy (...Kennedy) go into a title feud with Edge immediately after he returned? He deserved that at least after the injury misdiagnosis.
I do wonder if they weren't gonna unify the titles at the time, if Sandow would've won the World title. As lets face it, the main reason Cena prob became World champ, was to face Orton later down the line for the unification. But if that wasn't the case, maybe he'd have a shot.
Coming into Mania my friend explained the Theory situation and I didn’t understand either, why not just make him the idiot for cashing in on Roman but still credible for beating Rollins, just one small switch that makes all the difference
5:46 mmmmmmm nah, I may be in the minority here, but around about that time, I'd not have disliked a Corbin title run. He's not as bad as a lot of people seem to think he is, he's done every job he's been tasked with more than serviceably and he's proven he's got a lot more range than he gets credit for.
Aye, Corbin himself is a really solid wrestler just look back at his time in NXT way back when. The biggest problem for him is it's so hard to make him a believable champ with how poorly he's been booked on the main roster. WWE managed to take someone who should have been a fantastic upper-mid card wrestler with the ability to touch the main title here and there and turned him into a joke. It's just sad and I hate it for the guy
@@Inufan337 right? I remember a story a little while back that said the reason he was consistently pushed was because everyone backstage liked working like him because he’s got absolutely no ego; it’s mad to me that he’s only got one depressingly quick US title reign to his name, because he SHOULD be a well established upper midcarder at the very least by now.

They missed an incredible opportunity with Theory cashing in at Summerslam during the last man standing match. Imagine this; Roman and Brock tear themselves to pieces trying to win, both men are down and it looks like it could be a draw when Theory comes down, cashes in and just stands there as Brock and Roman fail to meet the count. Massive heel heat, but cunning heel heat.
You know that you're suggesting a Lex Luger finish right? You can't win the title by countout lol. On the other hand, Theory winning the World Title is still an absolutely horrible idea. But WWE put themselves in the corner with having Roman on an all timer of a run
@@HawkHogan_ sorry counted out was probably the wrong word, I mean counted out in the context of a last man standing match which is what Lesnar vs Reigns was at Summerslam. Theory could have worked with the right booking but I just thought that was a really great way the briefcase could have been cashed in and it was a missed opportunity. I think how the briefcase is cashed in is just as important as who or when honestly and that would have been a smart way to do it.
Thank you for pointing out that Vince has had women cash in HOURS after they’ve won the briefcase. Does he realize he’s doing this? Is he old and forgetting, thinking every year it’s a great idea and no one will expect it? I don’t think he knows how to do two MITB stories and has defaulted to someone cashing in very early and the other cashing in kinda early.
#1 is correct, but #2 is Otis. Vince puts it on him as a gag, then a couple weeks later realizes "Jesus, OTIS has the MitB & is in the main event picture!!".
I am imagine the reason for the quick Women cash-ins is that they don't want to run 2 MitB storylines at the same time. If they have a big idea for it, the Men's division gets priority while the women's division isn't as big. Also, I don't feel that the women's division in WWE has had a big imposing wrestler that felt unbeatable (where the cash-in timing would be more important) since they introduced the briefcase.
Let’s not forget Strowman’s cash in for a full Hell in a Cell match that ended in a run-in no contest in which I’m pretty sure the bell never even rang so the match could still be going on for all we know
The MITB used to be about getting main event ready guys into the main event scene. Edge will always be the greatest holder of the MITB and the perfect example of who to give the MITB to. But WWE tend to give the MTB to A. Guys that don’t need it, B. Guys too soon for a big push, or C. Guys who do a lot of jobbing.
I never understood the Kennedy situation. I believe he mentioned in a promo that he was going to be the first person to hold it that full year from WM 23 to 24. If that was the plan, you got Edge who cashed in on Taker in May, and if Kennedy is out in the worst case scenario of six months that still puts him back around Survivor Series, or they may have him not even back back to around Royal Rumble time. They don’t even start building to WM until after the new year anyway so I’m not sure why there was so much panic to get the briefcase off of him. If I’m fantasy booking stuff… You could bring back MITB guy the night after the Rumble, who can constantly taunt the RR winner. Stating they’re going to cash in after their WM main event, etc. and, back then, Kennedy would have been perfect in that role. Today I think thar MJF would be perfect. Or, you keep Kennedy off TV until the WM main event is over. That was the year UT beat Edge in the main. Taker still wins, pyro goes off, etc. and Kennedy - not being seen for close to a year, cashes in on UT, beats him, and hands Taker his first lost at WM? Fans may have rioted because no one would’ve seen it coming. Somewhere in the multiverse that has happened and I’m curious how history played out afterwards.
Undertaker was injured and needed surgery so he had to drop the belt. So the plan changed, but Kennedy had the worst timing possible to get injured. Sucks for him.
It's buffling to me how even someone like Adam feels like the MITB Briefcase actually elevates talents to the main event...seriously, how many MITB matches winners have there been since the start considering from one point forward we got two for each year? I guess we're in the 30s right? How many of them actually became and remained main eventers, top stars after? Like three? How's that elevating anybody? I'd say about 85% of the MITB winners either went right back in the midcard after unimpressive title reigns or became main eventers DESPITE winning MITB. The MITB concept could work if it was booked decently but it never is. It was for like the first 3 or 4 years but after that it stopped making sense and it was never booked properly and it was simply used as the way to try and skip the entire build up of a wrestler from mid-card to upper-card to main eventer status. It actually *ruined* more careers than it elevated, especially babyfaces! There's nothing less babyface than cashing in a contract won in one multi-person match and perhaps even losing most matches after that on a weak heel champion after a match. You're giving a moment, sure, but without momentum behind it, without a satisfying story behind, you're just saying "this mid-card guy is a main eventer now!". That's not how it works. That's not how Austin became a star, how Cena became a star, how Rock became a star, how Hogan became a star...you BUILD stars with time and the right booking. Look how the whole Bloodline storyline got everybody involved more over than they ever were. That's the way to go.
A mid carder should never win a MITB, neither should a main eventer. You give the MITB to someone who is ready to be a main eventer, someone that’s just on the cusp of being a main eventer. Again Edge is the perfect example of a guy who you give the MITB to, someone that’s ready to be put in the main event. If they are already in the main event or not ready to put in the main event, then you don’t give it to them.
just regarding the intro talking about MITB has been elevated to Big 4 importance levels, i whole-heartedly agree. but i was a huge King of the Ring PPV fan growing up, so I'm enjoying MITB while I can until WWE inevitably destroys their own creation.
Well, since you ended with that "Good Luck!", I think the question sounds less like "Who do I want to win" and more like "Who would the briefcase hurt the least?". I can see them eighty-sixing Ricochet with it. He wins, it pops all us on the interwebs, and then he cashes it in on the European Title and shows up to an empty arena. I mean, he loses it the next night on Raw. Maybe they should give it to Logan Paul so it can hurt him the MOST. I want the Women's match to end with Bayley and Iyo on the ladder, they kinda fight over it, but then Bayley says "Tag Titles! Tag Titles!" Iyo lets go, Bayley gets the briefcase. For a few months, they plan, bide their time, and heel it up. They beat up some enhancement talent and Iyo gets a lot of pins. Then Bayley cashes in on the Women's Champion, loses, and Damage Ctrl breaks up with Iyo turning face.
IMO, Austin should’ve been the first MITB Winner to reach the year limit on the briefcase and he would’ve have a valid reason that Roman never showed up. So then if they wanted to do the Man Austin Theory instead of the boy Theory then they should’ve had Austin cut a promo saying: I’m tired of waiting for opportunities so Seth get out here so I can get the U.S. title. The only problem with this it would take to long but 🤷♂️
The thing that grind all my gears was that at one point theory had the briefcase while also being the us champion. So using the briefcase for that title again IN AN OPEN CHALLENGE was a freaking disgrace to humanity.
I'm not sure why they ripped the case out of Kennedy's hand. Okay, he might be injured for six months, but he had established as soon as he won it that his intent was to cash it in at WrestleMania. He didn't need any specific booking if he had to recuperate the injury so just let him hold onto it then book him when he comes back. I doubt they planned to use him constantly in the year between Manias so there wasn't any urgency in getting him back on TV with the case. Hell, that would have been a great way to build him up through pre-recorded segments to keep his name value high. Was a completely irrational course of action they took and undermined a setup that didn't need to be meddled with.
Personally, I'm more disappointed about how the MiTB contract could've been used but wasn't. Remember when Brock won the title and disappeared? Yeah, I know I'm not being specific enough, but hear me out for a bit of fantasy booking... While that's going on, book Kevin Owens or someone similar to win the MiTB contract. The next night, he cuts a promo about how he intends to find Lesnar, grabs a referee and cameraman, and disappears as well. We'd get weekly vignettes of KO and his road trip to "wherever the hell Brock is", and Lesnar returning for major PPVs has him slowly growing more paranoid and jumpy, until eventually showing up for an impromptu Raw segment to call out his pursuer. He stares at the camera, demands Owens face him like a man... and the camera gets rammed into his face. KO was the cameraman all along, and he just knocked out the Beast Incarnate. A quick cash-in later, and you have a full-time champ with the cunning needed to face whatever the writers can throw at him.

I believe that they couldve used Theory's MITB as a way to turn him babyface, Theory tells Roman hes going to cash in for a match at the next ppv, Roman does the "your daddy isnt around anymore" thing, and use it to break Theory free from the shadow of Vince and become his own star, of course he wouldnt win, but you could've made him look better in defeat by having a decently competitive match with Roman than losing like a dope.
I'd like to see a heel win the briefcase, earn a world title match through some other means, lose that match, then attack the champion from behind after the match and cash in there to win the title in an instant rematch. If they really wanted to push someone hard do this strategy with the Rumble and WrestleMania by having the MitB holder also win the Rumble.
Whoever wins the Money In The Bank briefcase this year lost its hype and credibility because of what happened last year. I don't really trust WWE booking, whether it's Damian Priest or Escobar or LA Knight winning it, the joke will be around cashing in "possibly" on a Mid-card title or even an NXT title. LOL
The more I think about Theory's situation the problem may have been more down to Roman than Theory because WWE was THAT against beating Roman Reigns so even holding the briefcase wasn't enough to disrupt his endless reign so ANYONE who held it was destined to fail. So to that end even having Theory defend and lose the briefcase to someone wouldn't actually change the status quo. Since it would be pointless to move the briefcase somewhere else they had him use it on a midcard title so that at least he could get some use out of it since Roman was just not going to be an option. However why they decided to eff with THAT I'll never know. He got ran in on and mauled, which is how he lost, but even so the very notion of it was ridiculous.
I'd love it if this year's winner of the briefcase went on to win the title without cashing in then when they defend it next they lose, immediately beat the other guy to a pulp and cash in at that point... Super heel heat confirmed
I like the 2020 mitb because it was different and fun---I loved the video format and didn't mind all the references. But I do agree, there were some stupid stuff, like Black in the food fight or Otis winning. But I don't thing it was a downright dumpster fire like how some people say it is. I'd gladly watch it again if written sensibly.
Theory's cash is now an official rule change now. Any MITB holder can now cash in on for secondary titles like U.S and I.C titles. Which is like going to a five-star restraint for a free meal. You can have a Serlin steak but instead you order a grilled cheese sandwich.
How did James Elsworth winning the briefcase FOR Carmella not merit an entry on this list? That seems like the single biggest MITB debacle in match history.
Say what will you want about Miz, but his cash in on Randy Orton in 2010 was a Feel-Good Moment if you knew what he had to deal with behind closed doors
It would've made more sense I guess than Brock just beating him up, but still a bad move overall, Braun should've just successfully cashed in.

Nobody's complaining about the match until the finish and who won it
I loved it
Facts that was a good booking since there was no fans at that moment. That was definitely 👍 a great way to book the MITB MATCH WITH BOTH MENS AND WOMENS HAPPENING AT THE SAME TIME 🎉🎉🎉
On top of the ladies cashing in too quickly, a majority of them would just lose the title back to the champion they cashed in on.
Honestly that was a problem with a lot of MITB cash in’s from the start. Let’s not forget that Edge lost the title a month after winning it.
Charlotte Flair
And they're probably gonna get it wrong again since LA Knight had the audacity to get himself over 😂
I don't actually hate the idea of Logan Paul winning even tho I should
Only good thing about seeing Logan winning would be him getting immediately bodied by Roman
"That's it! After Money in the Bank, I'm turning him back into Max Dupri!"
- Vince, probably.
@@TheLunaticBrit wont happen .... 100% bet all your money the winner of the briefcase goes after seths title, not romans.
Crazy how Logan didn’t need the briefcase to fight Roman and Seth at least once lol.
@@austinemms9772Ayo that would've worked
Or just have Mella steal the title and streak.
@@austinemms9772The problem with that scenario was MITB being brand exclusive to Smackdown (2017).
Everyone keeps calling Austin Theory a future big star in this company but I don't see it, that dude is boring
Honestly I think if a wrestler hasn't won any title in the company and they cashed it on a midcard title would be fine but for Theory Triple H freaking booked that so wrong
Austin Theory cashed in on an open challenge
How was Ellsworth winning the first Women’s Money in the Bank not on this list?
Because he didn't win it, Carmella did. He wasn't in the match he just helped her win.

Unpopular opinion time:
The 2020 Women’s MitB holding the championship instead of the contract was an amazing idea, and the promo Becky cut the next night announcing her pregnancy and literally handing Asuka the title after she had to vacate it was not only great, but it made sense.
If LA Knight ends up not winning it,It would suck but I mean,we won't really be shocked
I agree 100%
In the next iteration of this list five years from now or so: "And number one Logan Paul. Just... Logan f***ing Paul."
@@lunaitc Oh the thought of him winning oh boy
Shelton should’ve won the match at least once.
Absolutely he should have, with the Gold Standard gimmick.
Cashing in your MITB for a shot at the US title is like burning a winning lottery ticket in order to warm soup.
just to make it worse, Theory cashed in while Seth was doing an open challenge for the title
jesus wept
One of the worst things they did with money in the bank is having James Elsworth win the first ever women's one
Theory's cashin was the funniest moment of 2022, couldn't have happened to a better guy. Cue the Billy Madison clip: YOU BLEW IT!!!
A suggestion for another list; top 10 backstage segments.
Poor Sully, having to be reminded of his narrow Survival Series loss.
I'm glad Adam mentioned the only good thing about pandemic wrestling: Bayley got a push. Never forget that Bayley is great
And the rise of jey uso
It's actually sad that it took a pandemic for WWE to start treating Bayley as the main focus of the women's division.
Honestly never would have thought that Becky and Dark (!!!) Bayley would have been the two Horsewomen with the biggest lasting impact.
Really says a lot that most of these fails are from 2017 to now. Speaks volumes on how much WWE has fumbled the briefcase lately,

yeah that briefcase cash in still baffles me, Like, Why on Earth would you cash in on the US Title especially when Seth Rollins provided an OPEN CHALLENGE that night so it didn't warrent the cash in at all. If Theory wanted to go for the US Title that night he easily could of without lookin like a dumbass
The Asuka briefcase is legit one of my favorite booking decisions of all time given the circumstances and the moment we get between Becky and Asuka, two rivals with great respect for each other.
Could we pls get a list of the best counters / reversals ever in wrestling?
Feel like they’re a very overlooked aspect of what makes a match great
Could Adam do a list of wrestlers who would have been great Money in the Bank holders?
4:29 #6 is the worst by far not only did they have Cena win but they had all former WWE champions in the match. Defeats the purpose of the match

And WWE’s business would’ve imploded like that submarine
You know that you're suggesting a Lex Luger finish right? You can't win the title by countout lol.
On the other hand, Theory winning the World Title is still an absolutely horrible idea. But WWE put themselves in the corner with having Roman on an all timer of a run
@@reddragon0624 that's besides the point. For better or worse Theory had the briefcase and anything is better than what they did with it.

Theory could have worked with the right booking but I just thought that was a really great way the briefcase could have been cashed in and it was a missed opportunity. I think how the briefcase is cashed in is just as important as who or when honestly and that would have been a smart way to do it.
There's just one major problem with that suggestion: you're implying that WWE would allow Roman to _lose!_
Futurama reference? TINNY TIM reference? Wonderfully done, sir.
Bring this man back
Even worse that Theory cashed in on an already open challenge.
Awesome work ❤ missed u adam
Let’s not forget Strowman’s cash in for a full Hell in a Cell match that ended in a run-in no contest in which I’m pretty sure the bell never even rang so the match could still be going on for all we know
BROCK winning MITB was Vince Mcmhon”s biggest mistake IMO
I think after this year this video needs to be remade 😅
I actually really liked Baron Corbin until Constable Corbin came around, before that i thought he was pretty good
The MITB used to be about getting main event ready guys into the main event scene.
Edge will always be the greatest holder of the MITB and the perfect example of who to give the MITB to.
But WWE tend to give the MTB to A. Guys that don’t need it, B. Guys too soon for a big push, or C. Guys who do a lot of jobbing.
I always wanted Otis to have used his briefcase to have gotten a tag title shot out of it. Could have made the briefcase interesting.
Corbin never having injured anyone is definitely a plus.
The only good thing that came out of the Lesnar briefcase win was the boombox Brock party sketch we got after lol
Guess stroman couldn't control his narrative
I never understood the Kennedy situation. I believe he mentioned in a promo that he was going to be the first person to hold it that full year from WM 23 to 24. If that was the plan, you got Edge who cashed in on Taker in May, and if Kennedy is out in the worst case scenario of six months that still puts him back around Survivor Series, or they may have him not even back back to around Royal Rumble time. They don’t even start building to WM until after the new year anyway so I’m not sure why there was so much panic to get the briefcase off of him.
If I’m fantasy booking stuff…
You could bring back MITB guy the night after the Rumble, who can constantly taunt the RR winner.
@@henriquesser I understand what actually happened. But they didn’t need to take MITB off Kennedy because of that. Taker simply could’ve lost
LA KNIGHT

just regarding the intro talking about MITB has been elevated to Big 4 importance levels, i whole-heartedly agree. but i was a huge King of the Ring PPV fan growing up, so I'm enjoying MITB while I can until WWE inevitably destroys their own creation.

Can't forget about when Theory cashed in, he cashed in on an open challenge.
I am surprised the James Elsworth pulling the briefcase down for Carmella didn’t make the cut.
"Theory won the title a few weeks later and has held it ever since".

LOL
Wow. You really don't comprehend how balls out bizarre 2020 was until Adam recapped it.
Would have loved you to give who should have won from each match as well, maybe in another vid?
The fact they punished Corbin for something not even involving wwe was so bogus
on top of that, Braun got screwed during his cash in, ending a Hell in a Cell match with a DQ...... I mean what the actual f*ck
Titan Tower MitB was fun and they should bring it back every once in a while
There's only one real choice for the Briefcase...YEAH!
Having James Ellsworth win the first women’s MITB should’ve been number 1
Money in the bank is an inherently heel concept, babyfaces who win the briefcase almost always ends up looking like a coward or an idiot.
I'd love it if this year's winner of the briefcase went on to win the title without cashing in then when they defend it next they lose, immediately beat the other guy to a pulp and cash in at that point... Super heel heat confirmed
What they could’ve really done with Theory (in hindsight) is have him cash in on the HWC tournament they just had, in the finals against AJ/Seth
“I already have a briefcase I will never lose.” Oooohh
Lesnar winning MITB is like Cena winning 24/7 title
I like the 2020 mitb because it was different and fun---I loved the video format and didn't mind all the references. But I do agree, there were some stupid stuff, like Black in the food fight or Otis winning. But I don't thing it was a downright dumpster fire like how some people say it is. I'd gladly watch it again if written sensibly.
Just a little reminder that we only had one good cash-in since 2017 (men's briefcase). Let that sink in
So many mistakes that Elsworth grabbing the briefcase in the first ever women's money in the bank match didn't make the list!
I'm suprised James Elsworth winning the first women's MITB match wasn't on here.
They better get the LA Knight case win right, YEAH!
That Austin Theory cash in was the dumbest thing in WWE history
I still remember them having Mix take Otis's Breafcase for no reason after Otis won the Money in the Bank and never got to cash in.
WWE:"where storylines and building stars dont matter anymore because we make billions already"
Well now I'm nervous about LA Knight winning it this year and being pushed down the card even further
Survivor Series hasn't felt really important forever
Say what will you want about Miz, but his cash in on Randy Orton in 2010 was a Feel-Good Moment if you knew what he had to deal with behind closed doors
