Na he is still covering for Hollywood though. What happened to “exposing the names of the people that abused” him? He never came out with the names and for that makes his entire “movement” suspect. He said big producers and Hollywood personalities molested him but won’t release names. He only names his mother which makes me think his mother was the only one abusing him and he tried to make it bigger than it was.

@@ryand4533 Can you imagine what would become of him if he, indeed, NAMED NAMES?! He could, singlehandedly, DESTROY that Godforsaken place, and coming from that business, he knows what the repercussions would be. Ricky Gervais, while hosting the Golden Globes several years ago, " called out" alot of them in the audience, under his guise of comedy, but EVERYONE watching at home completely enjoyed watching the "guilty as hell" ones squirm in their seats while the "others" nervously laughed. Anyone with half a brain knows what Hollywood is about and can readily name just SOME of the ones they've DESTROYED, from Judy Garland, to Marilyn Monroe, to Robert Blake, to Lindsay Lohan, to Britney Spears...it goes on and on. It is the DEVIL'S PLAYGROUND, and this poor guy has, sadly, been forced to play in it his entire life.

Yes! It is so rare, to speak out in Hollywood. I was a child actress. Not more than a locally famous one. (I might meet people who knew me on the plane on the way out of town, but never on the way back lol). And, even at that level, there were parents who were making excuses for a director who was in prison for child sexual abuse, and writing to him, trying to be the first one to take him to dinner when he got out. I was friends with the one who got the dubious honor, and she was never ok when I saw her, later. This was a man who had been in charge of her in the past and when her mom found out he was assaulted kids, she just saw an opportunity for better roles for the girl, when he got out. This was when you got a year or two sentence. I didn’t “turn out” very ok, either. Not for a long time, at least. It was a very sick scene. But activism and my fifth treatment experience being an excellent one (love, acceptance, and understanding, not dressing down tough love) helped a lot!

It's so sad in retrospect. When he came forward and went public about all the horrific abuse of child actors in Hollyweird, they made Corey look like a psychotic, drug addicted, liar who would say anything for attention, then blackballed him.
Now with all this stuff coming out over the years since #metoo, we are seeing more and more that Corey was right and he wasn't lying about what was/is going on behind the scenes.

@@chamboyette853 I agree. Obviously women have a much higher rate of being a victim of sexual abuse or assault than men do. Having said that, the amount of boys and men who don't come forward about their abuse would probably shock people. The real percentage is probably higher than what's shown. It's very sad and that's why I give so much kudos to people like Corey Feldman and Terry Cruz for being able to show other boys/men that what happened to them is wrong and that they SHOULD talk about it. Abuse is abuse, no matter what gender you are. We can't just focus on one specific group of people and leave everyone else by the wayside.

@@sirlink9611 I would even say PROBABLY the rate of female victims is higher than male victims, but I am not 100% sure, at least if the victims are children. That is because parents are less likely to survey their sons than their daughters. If you see a grown woman with a boy who is not his relative most people will not be suspicious. The reverse is not the case at all, so it gives much more room for a boy to get molested and/or beat without anything happening, like what happened with Corey. What I really hate about the meetoo movement is that it seems to only show male perpetrators and female victims, which not only is sexist and a false image of the reality, but can push aside male victims like Corey.

It is, so hard to talk about things like that as is. And then when you do ppl come out in droves to defend your abuser. Its sick really. I'm very grateful to Mr. Feldman and others for having the courage. So many of us die holding these secrets in place of the peace we so deserve. Its especially difficult for male victims to come forward. Honestly the only way out and to a place of healing is the greatest fear. So many have had it happen again and again because for some reason the fear of judgement for being the victim of it and being called a liar and a life destroyer insanely outweighs the fear of further victimization. Its sad and maddening for anyone to endure, male or female, not saying its worse for one or the other, just saying females are usually quicker to find the courage to face it head on.

I am in the Addiction Treatment field, and abuse has so much to do with drug and alcohol use, and addiction. We really need to remove the stigma of addiction, and allow people to heal. It’s not about selfish hedonism. It’s about living in a world of hurt and pain, desperate for some relief, that makes drugs make a bigger impression on certain people. I can’t think of anyone I’ve met in treatment who you wouldn’t understand and love, if you got to know them.

It got so bad I made the horrible decision to drink and drive and I wrecked my car (I already feel like a piece of shit because of it so please don't tell me what a bad person I am... I already know I am). In therapy I was recently diagnosed with Autism and I was abused as a child by my parents. Emotionally by my mother and super physically by my stepfather. With sober eyes and a heart that really wants to heal I have such a hard time understanding why my drinking got out of control. I was such a different person when I was using. Thank you for your comment it made me feel slightly better about who I am... even though I deserve to be punished for what I did.

He also told me that at my "age" I wouldn't really be needing my knee to do anything strenuous any more anyway (I was 23!) I was happy to avoid reconstructive surgery, but the injury has haunted me my entire life. There have been times when I literally walked out to the mailbox and found myself face down in the dirt. My point being, I dunno if I would have rather taken my chances with opioids or continued to live every day with a fucked up knee that prevented me from working certain jobs and ever again playing sports I loved.
