Gunj Bhai, I have done IMS in wrong account as the beneficiary provided one digit wrong of his account. Sice it was required for medical emergency I have transferred 35000 rs. From axis Bank to Bank of Baroda. But due to incorrect account number it was transferred to one of the Delhi branch of bank of baroda. I intimate to axis Bank with in a half hour regarding this and provided all the required evidence, they have informed to bank of baroda Delhi branch and I was informed to wait for 20 days. After 20 days when I made an inquiry regarding this dispute I was informed that since the beneficiary withdraw all the amount we are unable to revert the money. At last I approached to RBI and filed a complaint and RBI responce in this matter surprised me. RBI said that as per J&K high court order bank is not responsible for your mis transaction. Therefore I am confident that no one will able to receive his or her amount back until and unless the beneficiary is agreed to revert that amount. Even RBI washed their hands from this matter. This is my personal experience and ultimately I lost 35000 INR. Surprisingly axis bank blamed on by saying that to avoid this kind of mis transaction we insist you to enter the beneficiary account number twice in order to verify the correct number. IFSC code and name of the beneficiary doesn't create any value while transferring the amount, the important one is only account number. Even the beneficiary bank never revert the amount until and unless the beneficiary sign and approve the concern letter. So bottomline is thay where ever you approach you will not get back your hard earned money until the beneficiary intent to return it back.
