If their prices are anything like how they used to be years ago. No one will be buying lol. Its safe to assume that the prices WILL BE WAY HIGHER. SMH especially with how the economy is today.
I used to work at Toys 'R' Us in the 90s. I was an assembler; I put together bikes, Powerwheels, store displays etc.. I loved that job. Free gaming magazines, strategy guides and promotional materials that were otherwise tossed. It was great! Children's Palace was my favorite toy store as a kid though. The facade at Children's Palace was shaped like a castle. Some of you may be too young to rememeber them all, but with Children's Palace, Lionel Playworld (another huge toy store chain), Kay●Bee Toys and Toys 'R' Us all being around at the same time, it was a great time to be a kid.
They never left here in Canada... but that being said, they are nothing like they used to be! Well at least for me... maybe its just that I am not into the new toys. 😁
Toys R Us was easily my favorite store as a kid. However, no way I can afford to shop there now for my kids. I paid $2 for a single orange the other day. Not likely that I'm going to spend extra money on toys when I can get them cheaper elsewhere.
I hope this works out for toys r us but ill be honest. I still have a lot of significant doubts how well this company will do. We still have our stores up here in Canada but their parking lots always look empty. Another thing is there was a toys r us that opened in the shopping mall by me and it closed in less than 3 months. There was nothing to buy. They might see some success inside these cruise ships or airports mostly just as someone buying their son or daughter or whoever a souvenir gift for the trip or just a last minute gift. Hope they are successful but I don't think they will ever still be the same company they once were.
@@SmashJT connect to wifi when you can, order, wait til you get home lol. But yea some people will impulse buy. Idk if that's enough to keep a complaint afloat long-term
I'm not going to go out of my way to purchase from Toys R Us unless they have store exclusive video games there. I thought there was a brick-and-mortar Toys R Us store in Houston.

It used to be nice walking around there. KB Toys needs to come back now.
If you can load up your Amazon app and Prime the same thing to your house for less $ its a dead concept
Exactly why it makes sense to put them in locations where you “need it now” and Amazon doesn’t deliver to cruise ships 😆

I bought my switch at my local Toys R Us when it was closing at a discounted price. Thats my memory of them. Lol
I'd buy something from a Toys R US if I came across one.
