Another excellent video... Any suggestions on strings? I find the top three metal strings so bulky and thick. 😅 I am still a beginner, so it feel awkward. Thank you for that video. It helps a ton. ❤
Hello, What guitar are you playing? I wonder if it is set up correctly ? It might help to take it to a guitar repair shop and ask to have the guitar setup with light 11/52 strings. I do not know what guitar you are playing but, you also may find it easier to learn on a small body guitar. Go to a guitar store and ask to test a guitar with a small body, short scale and a slim neck (1.68). Guitars like Taylor Academy series will be easier to learn on. If they are too expensive ask to see similar style guitars in a lower price range. Most importantly don’t get discouraged, keep working at it and your fingers will adapt and get stronger as you practice.
@guitarnotions HI, I have a Yamaha APX500 III. Is not a big guitar. I did have it strong by a music shop when I bought it. I didn't know anything about strings, therefore, I have no idea what is on it right now. Small neck, which believe it or not took me longer to adapt. I've always fiddled with the 2" neck, "won't dare to suggest played" on. 😂 I will take it back and request those strings you recommended. Thank you! Have a safe trip! God bless!❤
@@estherld123 that is a great choice for learning. It has a slim neck and a semi short scale. With the thin body it should be super comfortable. I usually use elixir 53/12 strings but elixir does have an extra light 52/11 that might be comfortable for you. But it might need a slightly slight adjustment when you change it as the strings may or may not buzz. It will definitely lighten the action. Without seeing the guitar it’s hard to say what it needs for ultimate comfort. Note it does take time and repetition for your fingers to build a callous so it does not hurt when you play. It’s common to feel the discomfort when you start learning. I have had students capo at the second fret while they build strength and tougher finger tips. It will lower the action doing that. Then you play the chords you are learning adjusting for the capo.
Another great video and you always have such good advice . Thanks for all you do Cindy.
Thanks for watching!❤️
This is a great video on rhythm. It's what the rest of YT guitar videos don't give us. Thanks 🙂
Glad you liked it! Thank you!❤️

@@guitarnotions Thank you so much. I appreciate your time and kindness. I will have them replace the strings . 😀 ❤️
Great practice tip! Can’t wait for the next road trip and guitar shops❤ so much fun! By the way, what strings do you have on your M&M Baby Boat?
Hello, my go to strings are Elixir 53/12. I think I used nanoweb on this change.
Love the drum search suggestion! Metronomes are good but not very interesting. Tx Cindy!
Thanks a bunch. It’s so much fun😀
