Hey good video really appreciate the breakdown. I had one question how do these filters run during the rain. I ride my bike to work a lot and curious about it being out in the rain with this filter. Rookie over here so I apologize if I should know this answer.
Question here, is your fuel injected or does it have a carburetor? Im trying to install a new air filter on my 2011 but cant find an install video and have no idea if itll work or not
why didnt u continue to use the Breather Bolts to relieve Air Pressure from the engine into the Throttle Body, u used regular screws with no Relief.. Just Curious, Didnt u know u suppose to use the same bolts?
Have you seen a difference in any kind of performance from the stock you had? I have a 2014 dyna street bob with that same stock air filter. I'm looking to upgrade. Just wanna have a smooth ride on the freeway.
I just installed mine today, FLHXS 103, and I didn't really notice a power difference. I do have a powervision tuner loaded it with a dynojet preset tune (intake exhaust upgrades), did one 20 min run with the autotuner , might get a bit better, but with a heavy tourer, not much difference. But the look is amazing IMO, and I always like K&N filters so I like it. I don't actually like the sound now though, at low speeds you can hear the sucking into the intake.
Sorry. I definitely wasn't descriptive in my question. What I noticed was the air filter itself looks purple. I was just wondering if the air filter came with that color purple? Where as usually kn air filters have a pink to red color due to the air filter oil that is sprayed on it. I love that purple filter look.

Good idea using those brushes. I wouldn’t have thought of that

No worries, they make rain covers for them too.
Thank you Jason for given me a comment you keep up the good work on those videos
I bought one for my twin cam looks very nice but it is awful loud
Looks really nice too !
You got that right! I love the look but HATE all the engine noises that comes through the filter.

Yes, mine is fuel injected. Good luck in your searches.
Do you hear a lot of engine noise through the filter?
Not really, but I did notice a little better performance.

Hello, great question. I used the new bolts that came from the K&N filter and they have the proper holes in them to fit the new filter properly.
Where do the breather bolts vent to? I'm trying to avoid the blow by entering the throttle body/ combustion chamber

Yes, it did. I didn't put it on a dyno or anything, but it seemed to be more responsive.

You’re supposed to put those threaded rods on the back plate before you put it on the bike.
Yes, I assume so, after that fact, but I didn't see lots of, how to do videos out there. Good point :) thanks !
Did it come in purple?
I don’t think so.
So you sprayed the purple oil?
I use normal oil.
Sorry. I definitely wasn't descriptive in my question.
