1965 was the year I was born. I treasure this film as part of my idyllic childhood. The cast was perfect and the songs still bring tears to my eyes. Darling Leslie Ann Warren was a mere 18, and Stuart Damon was so young and handsome. Celeste Holm was an established star, just so beautiful. Thank you Rodgers & Hammerstein and CBS for this wonderful, magical production.

That's right. The "prince charmings" somehow never seem that smart. This version at least shows some intelligence in the prince.
What I WISH is that he's, at least, given a name. "Hey you princie" just doesn't seem right. And so many look like the funny prince in a Looney Tunes cartoon, on a big horse, saying" Hansel? Hansel? I'm in the wrong cartoon!!"

The very best and original Cinderella ever! The actors perform very convincingly and with ease. It's as if it is true life. Loved it from my childhood the first day I saw it and I am fifty-seven (57) years. Now that I found it I will be watching it often and make sure I learn every song to the stop. I can say sooo much more, but know that other 'Cinderella' can copy from it, but never replace it. Put it back on television, not only for Christmas, but for the children to see. The veery best and greatest!

+Donna Warwick I think Julie Andrews was the first/original Cinderella in 1957 when she was specially chosen by Rogers and Hammerstein because of her other impeccable performances on Broadway. You should watch it is a classic and personally I think Julie actually fits the part better than any other actress I have seen so far including this one!!!!

Stuart Damon also played a role in *Do I Hear a Waltz?* (1965), the only Broadway musical featuring a score written collaberatively by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein's protegé, Stephen Sondheim. Damon is featured on the show's Original Broadway Cast Recording singing "We're Gonna Be All Right" (a duet with another character), and in several group numbers.

Their kind manners, ever enduring search for one another, and the true love displayed on the screen has been the single example i have followed in my own life. Back in the mid sixties I was a 6 , perhaps 7 years old , and like most hyperactive boys , spent the entirety of most days , outdoors, in rough and tumble play . A poor Cuban immigrant , not interested in the arts .But for some reason , during one enchanted evening , someone turned on our black and white TV , and this Movie( Broadway play) was on . I gazed into those big beautiful dark expressive eyes, with her quivering lips, and heard that soft voice . The next day I woke up with an intense strange incomprehensible feeling toward this character , the likes of which I had never experienced before . My first crush was Leslie Ann Warren 's Cinderella . That first , magical , then incomprehensible feeling , never to be replicated again.
