Notion sometimes becomes so slow, it's frustrating. So, I started to look for an offline-first app. But I Notion's database is unbeatable. I can't completely ditch Notion. What do you think about task management in Notion and Resource/Notes in another app? How would you go about it?
I recommend having everything in the 1 dashboard. But of course if it suits you better then maybe have resources in the Notes app or something :) Same reason as you, the databases are unbeatable
To be quite honest, this feature IS NOT needed. Notion has many user issues they should be solving rather than this silly feature. Notion needs to put resources where they will solve problems rather than introduce something that users only think they need.
We have been able to upload images into the avatar slot for a long time… isn’t a photo of someone better than an avatar? Don’t we all have profile pics?? lol how about granular user access to databases?
As is so often the case with these type of things for me, I can't get remotely close to the way I actually look.
So glad I didn’t pay someone to make a Notion styled avatar for me…

I don't think what You say is the only reason. I think they plan to have costume faces for Notion Mail.
