There is no doubt that it does not get hot, as for my purchase of the GPD Win 2, I have not experienced overheating like that. But that of course is when I first purchased the device a while ago, I utilized the USB thumb a lot. These days I utilize the micro SD card slot due to larger capacity than the micro thumb. the newly 1 Terabyte micro SD card is phenomenal along with the 1 Terabyte SSD for the Win 2. It takes the handheld up to a whole new level. The micro thumb at this point is just a plus factor for overarching space potential.
@@m0tek When the GPD Win Max releases and I get in on the crowd funding campaign I'm definitely gonna be making more videos about that and its dedicated graphics card its rumored to have.
So at the time I did the video I was testing the A1 version of the 128GB Micro SD card while also advertising that there was a faster one which was the A2 version of the same card. My A1 version of the card is working perfectly and I never had an issue. However I heard reports from the GPD community that the A2 version has had issues being recognized by the GPD Win 2's micro SD card slot. I personally cannot confirm this because at the time I did not purchase and A2 version, I bought an A1 version due to pricing and "flash" sale on www.newegg.com Now on a higher note, it was not long after that the San-disk released a 256GB, 400GB and a 512GB micro SD card in both A1 and A2 models the differences in all of them is with transfer and read speeds. I skipped out on the 400 and the 512 and went with the 400GB A1 due to the fact that the read speed was super fast more so than the 512GB. I can attest that this work because I still currently use the 400GB micro SD card. Now next month this April towards the middle of the month, San-disk will release as 1TB yes your reading right, a "1TB" micro SD card and I will invest in this card so that I can do another update video. the card is gonna be $500.00 and I'm taking that risk in investment so that I can talk more about the continuing expansion of possibilities with the GPD Win 2 and my predictions on what can we expect going into the next generation GPD Win 3 when GPD of Shenzhen hopefully decides to invests into the next highly anticipated handheld. I hope this information is useful, and I'm sorry that your card slot is not reading ether or cards. I highly suggest updating the micro SD card's firmware drivers or perhaps doing a clean install of the operating system to the device.
Kuya Valdez thus far I have not experienced that much heat output from the micro SD card slot, but rather the heat output has been felt from the usb micro thumb of 256gb. When I've played for longer periods of time that thumb drive puts out a lot of heat.
Kuya Valdez it depends. Generally USB 3.0 and 31 are quicker in information transfer speeds significantly. However depending of the "class" of micro sd card yu buy will determine the read, write, and transfer speeds. I use my USB thumb for emulators while I use my sd cards for steam games and that's only because of space and I invested in a high class sd card.
i trying to buy a micro sd card for my win 2 but im worried about the prices on amazon being so cheap and dont want to get a faulty fake micro sd. Bestbuy is so expensive but i dont want to take a chances with amazon. where did you buy yours from??
I apologize for the late reply, I bought my micro SD card from www.newegg.com They had such a great deal at the time on the 400 GB micro SD card and the 512GB micro SD card. I went with the 400GB due to the transfer read and write speeds being so so much better. The 512GB micro SD card is hottness, but the fidelity in the information for reading and writing speeds are awful.
@@FuSungECookye if i were to play my emulators such as pcsx2 on an sd card would their be any slow down and which micro sd brand do you find best with the win2 ??? i just recently got my gpd win 2 and was wondering if i as a new owner should bother with updating my intel driver or does that have no impact on gaming??
@@maxxyize As far as the pcsx2 emulator goes, I run that emu on my SSD instead of the micro SD card and that's mainly because the PS2 emulator is a program application that is still a heavy work in progress. There are still elements such as 3D rendering and shading and speed and sound calibrations that are just not up to par yet. It's gonna be a while before the team that is working intensively on that emu will have a product that is near perfect. Due to the fact that the SD card has to constantly transfer and read while games are being played, the PS2 emulator is one that I specifically don't recommend to run via the SD card mainly because you want that program to run freely without any restrictions. Emulators are getting better and better and I'm definitely waiting to see the final product for pcsx2. I still run it from time to time but as of right now the dolphin emulator run Wii games fucking damn near perfect and Gamecube games beautifully. The new "Redream" Dreamcast emulator is the most perfect Dreamcast emulator out now. It runs issue free on the GPD win's 2 SSD or SD card. I'd say if you really want the PS 2 emulator like that, be sure to run in on your SSD and when you copy your disc games I recommend using the program "image burn" so you can have a exact perfect iso replica of your game. Last but not least, I specifically upgraded my SSD from 512gb to the 1TB SSD because I wanted to have the maximum space possible to run all my emulators and their games with worries being a "non issue" As far as my SD card slot is concerned I use the 400gb card for all of my steam-games and PC games collection.
