+Torr fjärt as soon as he said that I flew down to the comments to say something about it and I'm glad to find I'm not the only childish person here! :P
Justin I have nothing but excellent feedback on your work, You're bubbly, funny, respectful and I have learnt how to play chords in less than 30 mins, keep up the great work you're brilliant, I am an International Poet, Wordmsith, Lyricist from Australia and I need to add music to my original songs and thanks to you now I can :-D #FantasticTeacher :-)
i just found your website and all these videos. i don't normally comment on youtube videos but i really must say you are an incredible human being, entertaining and really really helpful. thank you so much for doing all this especially all this for free. its awesome.
Man, you're adorable. The sofa and chair thing was so funny :) FIY, I knew you were going to explain the sofa thing, and yeah I noticed you didn't go to demonstrate on a sofa LOL
I’ve learned 6 notes so far in one day thanks to you! I’m gonna keep practicing and not give up. I got a guitar when I was 16 and watched 3 of your vids, learned 3 notes and then I gave up and my guitar stayed in my closet for 2 years. Now I’m picking it back up again at 17 and I’m gonna stay motivated.
you're not crazy. I like how you cover every little detail and that too, maintaining simplicity. Im left handed btw and you are right, I so tap with left foot. I instinctively used my toes to tap when I first started to with the guitar body resting on my right leg. :)
Justin, I must say I love your videos. I'm not sure what it is about you, but you have one of the most pleasant and cheerful instructional voices to listen to, I love it. It puts a smile on my face and makes it fun and motivating to learn :)
Hi I'm waiting for the advanced knee tapping lesson, any ideas when you'll be uploading it? ;) Seriously though, thanks for the brilliant lessons looking forward to buying your new book soon!
yes I find it important too. It`s pretty cool that you teach people that. I do the foot tapping all the time :)) like you said whenever you hear music.
Because of your amazing tutorials, I am reassured that the guitar would not be a useless buy and your videos would help me master it! I'll be getting mine after exams!
Body movement, which would include foot-tapping, is an amazing way to connect with your audience and the music. Don't toe tap- go "heel-up, heel-down" with the ball of the foot as your pivot. That's much more visible because it gets more of your body involved in the motion. It's also easier to do standing since your balance remains on the more stable ball of your foot, as opposed to tapping your toe which requires shifting balance to the heel. Amazing lesson, as always.
You're awesome!! I've watched all of your videos and you are the best! Your explanations are simple and easy to understand. Your videos has very good lighting too and lighting is very important for better view. Love your accent
Thank you so much for posting these videos! They're really helping me out as a beginner and are the most clearly explained ones I could find on RUclips. And the fact that you're very easy on the eyes dosen't hurt either lol :)
I wish more teachers would cover this topic . I have been taking music lessons for years violin and cello . in a orchestra setting it's not hard to follow everyone around you . now trying to learn guitar and bass i'm struggling with timing . I have heard of teachers using a block and stick for taping lessons but never seen any teachers spending much time on it .
It's the honest to God's truth. I have such a hard time taping because I have to wear braces on both feet. It makes toe taping hard. I have to do the heel tap:)) I figured this out on my own, but I wanted to check to make sure it was allowed. That's the funniest part. LOL I love your way of teaching straight to the point and very entertaining as well. Now I can't wait to see your next lesson:)
I don't wanna tell my uncle to stop doing this during the second song in church when we're all sitting down because he's gonna yell at me. He very rarely yells at people, but when I accidentally look back at him and he's doing this, I think, "oh my goodness, Andrew, please stop. You're embarrassing me." And when he continues doing that, I think, "okay. That's enough." And then, in the middle of the song when he's still doing this, I just think, "dude, what part of stop embarrassing me don't you understand?! If your foot falls asleep while singing, that's one thing, but please stop doing this. It's embarrassing and I just want you to stop! Dude!"
Haha. I use both my heel and my right foot (right handed). The guitar is all over the place, but it somehow feels right and it isn’t that hard to change chords!
Not stupid at all, I still struggle with tapping my foot. although I often feel like I do nto need it as I bob my head or move some other part of my body in the groove, but when I try to tap on some songs it just does not work. So I will give this a go ;)
As the two above said: it's important to have a right feeling of the beat of the song (tapping the foot is good for that) to be able to play the syncopation _correctly_ on the guitar. I can't imagine myself playing funky 16th pattern without tapping.Or in other words, when I don't do it, what I play is much more wrong.
What I do is cross my left leg over my right (lady-style) and hold rest the guitar on it, which allows me to hold it closer to my body, so I can still tap my right foot and it there's a lot less movement. I dunno if I'm just weird or something :)
What about for left-hand people???? hahaha Just Kidding man, you are great, I Remember my time as a beginner in bass when I was 15 with my brother in law. Thanks a lot. Just that other option for metronome is using any software and do a drum kit, I think is could make a good funny practice time for beginners,
It keeps happening...I have a musical question...I figure out how to ask the question...top response, most useful, most relevant....JustinGuitar....Thnx....again
i don't think this is ridicolous...nobody talks about things like that, such things you can only learn if you know somebody experianced or you have a teacher, you can't find it on the internet...until now:) You can find 1000 people talking about pentatonic scale but nobody talks about other things like this here...IMO you should keep doing lessons like that one.
(sorry for the disappointment, I'm not Justin) no, the guitar is a Maton custom made with two different woods for the sides and back. Check out on the website of Maton.
also for those short on money just google metronome and there are many free sites that u can use and download on your phone. all for free, just an idea for those who don't want to go out and spend 15-30 $
I been playing guitar for 4 years?? But sitting in the couch with no lessons, my guitar probably at my chin!! So now I'm using Justin's course to relearn EVERYTHING standing up..I'm trying to think weather to practice this toe tapping standibg ? I'm not sure thats gonna work right though.. I got a feeling I been tapping as I sit anyway. But not sure if I done it right. This is this a stupid questions But is it stupid to do this standing up?

Please donate to this guy, he is forced to wear winter clothes indoors because he has no heat! Plus his videos are awesome.
@@spyrax988 holy shit you replied to a 7 years old comment just to make a "woooooosh"? That must be a record of some sort!

How is it possible to down vote Justin?
Some folks would down-vote the Second Coming of Christ. "Dang! This Rapture thingy is going to make it so I won't see Wheel of Fortune, Dammit!!"
And after all that warning, the final example was you tapping your right foot. Lol.
My son and I are learning a ton. Thank you.
I’m watching all of your first tutorials and love them
Man, you're adorable. The sofa and chair thing was so funny :) FIY, I knew you were going to explain the sofa thing, and yeah I noticed you didn't go to demonstrate on a sofa LOL

Justin Sensei teaches us the ancient art of footjutsu.

Bro, much respect to you!
You are hands down the best teacher. Thank you very much.

are you also gonna upload stage 3 and onwards?

Silly question, but do you mean tap your foot to the guitar rhythms only or the drum beat or what??
nice shoes haha. good lesson

But is it stupid to do this standing up?
Some lessons are missing? Bc 190 plus but i can find only 72 in ur playlist. Are they deleted.
I know what your saying I've been playing for a year now and I can't sing & play at the same time because my rhythym isn't developed
BC 101 is what u should start off with if u r absolute beginner, BC 111 if u know the basics of guitar Buddy.
never lose the groove for the sake of a note. word.
