I've fallen into it pretty hard myself. I've actually got a lore video (my first ever in that style and presentation) coming out either later today or tomorrow based on how much I've been digging this one. Definitely a step above a lot of other offerings in the soulsborne genre.
@XDeej I've played all the Fromsoft souls games and s few souls-likes and this is the first one that I will 100% for sure beat. May even go into NG+. So well done.
I went into it not having played the demo from a few months ago knowing only that it was a 'souls-like mixed with pinnochio' Not only was I blown away, but I think it's for sure one of the biggest sleepers of the year. Definitely hoping it gets more shine. It definitely deserves it.

NGL, it's definitely a little frustrating at times. That and the bosses having seemingly INFINITE hyper armor makes it even worse... BUT, once you get over some of the unique nuances of how combat is different than DST, it still has its own value in terms of its combat system. It wouldn't be my preferred choice either, but it's not that bad once you get used to what they're trying to do.
Run into the arena, sprint past everyone, tuck yourself into the corner of the two walls just beyond the door on the opposite end of the arena (right side), save and quit out as fast as you can, then resume. If done correctly, you can resume your game within the boss arena and the BRB won't realize you're in there, so their AI never activates. Hard to explain with text alone, but it may well be something I throw in a future video if it seems like folks aren't able to get it.
I think they just get overshadowed a bit with how good some of the other items can be. It's not to say that they're the best choice, but it definitely seems like the initial reaction people had was based on thinking they were supposed to be throwables or something. Even still, hopefully more folks see the value in using them and how they might help. 😊

Actually both motivaty and technique matters it's depends on the boas.
I totes didn't use consumables....like....at all....Might have made some things easier lol.
I mean, it definitely would have lol... But still, if you're gonna do the Ell thing and beat it again, you can make your second run much quicker lol
