Love that movie. Saw it when I was a kid and fell in love with the Ramones. So much so, that my very first album I ever bought were the Ramones' Road to Ruin album.
Good Topic for Vlog #622 !! RAMONES ! Ive been to the Van Nuys High location ..it was used also in ROCK N ROLL HIGH ,all the outside lunch table scenes were filmed at Van Nuys high ! and the GYM scenes were shot there also ! Thanks for a look at The Mayan ,interesting to see how it looks in 2018 compared to 1979 ...
Awesome vlog Jordan. Rock & Roll High School brings back a lot of memories. I remember seeing it when it first came out, which by the way was my first exposure to the Ramones interestingly enough. Coincidently, when you did your initial vlogs about the Ramones, I thought of that movie. Very cool before and after photos of the locations. So.... The girl from Sweden.... I was totally blown away by the odds of you running into her. This is not the first time this has happened, which just proves that everything happens for a reason, right? Just like I found you here on RUclips, and how much of what you do resonates with me. So much in fact, that my whole view, or approach to my day to day life has been enriched, and I'm so much more positive. Thanks for the good vibes and energy through your art. It has definitely made a difference in my life, and the life of many others. Well Jordan, onto the next vlog. Take care and see you soon. Arthur Childs, Oak Harbor, WA. 🙂
Good job editing 84 Nash into this film. Rhythm was perfectly matched to the dancing in front of the theater. That's the youngest I have seen the Ramones. I hope that building is already part of the historical society. What a shame it would be to lose such a unique piece of history. Great job Jordan.
The minute you mentioned Roger Corman, I started typing. I've NEVER heard of this movie and I love Corman movies and The Ramones were fantastic! I really got into them when I got the internet, but I had heard them back in the 70;s on Miami University Ohio's radio station. They played the Ramones a lot, and in my ultra conservative area you could not find any of their albums. They were great musicians but no need to tell you that! Give Jah some lovin for me, good luck with your car and thank you for all you do for us
Big Ramones fan! Loved this vlog, totally pro audio/video and excellent editing as always, clever over dubbing with a hint of the Ramones' pulsing drums and roaring guitar and of course Joey's smooth tone. Great info, never knew this flick was intended for anyone other than the Ramones. The Mayan theatre is so ornate with such intricate detail sorry they changed the entrance and removed the box office but glad the theatre is still there. My first (or second?) attempt at learning guitar was in 2003 January I had a bodybuilding injury and quit competing and I would go next door to my landlady's house to watch big screen TV while I practiced. Her 93 yo mom "grandma" (at our new year's b-day party I told her, " just think grandma,in 20 years you'll be a teenager" )would come downstairs and listen to me while we watched "Rock and Roll High School" and drank all the coffee. Thank you Jordan for preserving the history of these legendary rockers and their legacy. Jah-valanche!
OMG! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I went to Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach! I have been asking you for so long. Wow your Awesome Jordan! I now live in Washington State, so I really hope you come my way. You made my day! Thanks again! SPINAL TAP locations?
OK! I just rented and watched Rock & Roll High School! It was a pretty funny movie and how I remembered the Ramones. I really enjoyed being able to match up the scenes that you pointed out too! Thanks Jordan!
Wonderful and fun vlog! Thank you Jordan! Your positive outlook is griping and I love , how fun you are! You must be one of the most outspoken but very kind and eloquent human being! That’s why we all love your daily “ journeys “ and get to see such fun things!
Hi Jordan, great video like always. You are very smart guy Jordan and jah so cute when you talk to him the way he looks at you with those eyes beautiful. Thanks so much Jordan. Besos from Puerto Rico👏👏👏👏
Cars are a pain, my old car when people asked what it was I said a P.I.N.T.A. (pain in the ass) Lol go ahead and use it. Loved the vlog so beautiful and the flowers too. Another movie to check out ! Thank you
15k! Yes well done !! It has been a bad week for deaths now Avicii has passed makes you think live for each day . Great vlog !! You sure see weird and wonderful things in LA . Will have to see the movie now . Love that Mayan building design . Wow small world ! Nice to run into her ! Hope your car stays fixed 🤞.👍🏻💙🎬🎥🇺🇸🌴🎼☀️😎🐶🦁w
Your dog is so cute but hurts me to see him. I had a dog that looked just like him but she was a girl, Ginger, & was chocolate brown. We just lost her a year ago at only 4 years old to liver cancer. She had the same mannerisms & everything, its uncanny. It has been a hard thing to get over & i dont think i ever will. As for this movie, omg! I first saw this movie in the early to mid 80's, i was about 14 or 15 & it was on one summer saturday afternoon. I never knew of the Ramones up til then but you better believe i own this movie & their music. I often repeat that playlist on my ipod over & over.
Love Rock and Roll High school, it is so campy and so cliche (in a good way), has a good soundtrack and just perfect characters. It would be strange if this movie was made when Tommy was still with the band. It would be cool but very strange.
Love that movie. Saw it when I was a kid and fell in love with the Ramones. So much so, that my very first album I ever bought were the Ramones' Road to Ruin album.
I love the way you expose us to the little-known architecture and history behind it in LA. Jah is as cute as ever!

" Every road led me to a dead end and nobody was answering the doorbell when I rang it" could be a Ramones title ....lol...Rock On Jordan! 🤘

I saw that movie in college in '83. Cool movie! Love the theater! Thanks for the good memories.

Jordan, just wanted to let you know one of your biggest fans, Richard H. Brookes passed away April 12. He loved your vlogs!
Aww I'm so sorry to hear that.... my condolences

I was a yr old when the movie came out
Sweet video :)
She wants you. Go for it bruh.
Stevie Ray Vaughn had a music video here too
Wow she’s so sweet. Have fun.
Jordan--Bummer about your car...If you can, consider a Hyundai Elantra or a Nissan--This is another fine historic video! Great job...
Looking for the movie. See that other film locations include The Bodyguard.
Good morning boys. Cool blog.
Two famous LA DJs are in this movie. The Real Don Steele and Rodney on the ROQ.
15,000 fantastic
Hard core Ramone fans.
Love Rock and Roll High school, it is so campy and so cliche (in a good way), has a good soundtrack and just perfect characters. It would be strange if this movie was made when Tommy was still with the band. It would be cool but very strange.
Always loved the ramones, I own the movie on dvd, I remember there was a giant rat for some reason
hi
👍👏💖
