The second player is not even close to him. You can divide his accomplishments by 2 and he will still be the undisputed GOAT. That's how far he is from everyone else
dont worry about the pausing! We appreciate you taking time to talk on everything! Faker has the most records not only because hes amazing but also because he didnt retire like most older players did, Faker showed the world that you dont need to retire after a bad year or because you were getting old. And yes most teams and players feel giddy or very anxious to play against Faker, most of these newer players like 17 year olds.. grew up watching Faker play, they definitely feel the pressure. The Faker aura is STRONG, some players are even scared to look at him xD Largest champion pool means that he plays the biggest ammount of different champions in game, so he has played with more "options" than the other players! Having a big sea of options is very important in pro play because the enemy team can just try to ban everything you play, you need to always be ready. Faker is very loyal, he has always been with T1 (previously called SKT T1), the chinese teams have tried to offer him BLANK checks so he would play for them but he always refused them. Now Faker owns part of T1 so he isnt going anywhere-
The 100% Best of 5 Winrate against LPL still holds up after this Worlds. Champions are the Characters you can choose to play in the game, so he has played a vast amount of Characters that in someway fit in his role as a Midlaner. Yes there is a stat that someone has him beat in, Xiaohu has 3 MSI-Titles which is 1 more then Faker currently holds.
now hes the only player to be worlds finals mvp twice also has 500 kills in worlds now and the only player to have a 5 finger worlds rings more skins than some of the champions/character in lol
This is why we can call Faker the Greatest of All Time for League while he is still playing. There aren't enough years left in the game for someone to catch him at this point, realistically. You can't even really compare other sports GOATs to him based on statistics - maybe Wayne Gretsky for hockey would be the closest. His win rates are absolutely insane when it comes to Worlds. He was so good that even in one of his off years (2017) he single-handedly dragged 4 dead weight teammates to the Worlds Finals. Other players can match and even exceed him individually now, but there isn't a single person in the professional scene that can touch his legacy.
@@VictorNightroadMechanically, probably 2015-2016. He was also dominant in 2013, but the game was far less understood at that time and he was several years ahead of the other pros. By 2015, the rest of the Korean players had caught up in terms of raw skill, but Faker had the skill AND the game knowledge, so he felt much more oppressive. There are other players who were quoted saying that it felt impossible to win against him, even when they threw everything at him. He would regularly outplay multiple other players trying to catch him by himself, either avoiding dying or just straight up killing them 1vX. There's one play in particular I remember the enemy team sent 4 players to kill him alone, and he just took them all out, completely unassisted - and these were not some unskilled minor region players, they were high level pros. It was an insane spectacle.
faker is the symbol of korean dominance during 2013-2017. that time everyone is playing catch up to them. that's why lpl is so aeger to meet him and beat him at finals
He is unparalleled. Imagine being amazing on your rookie year and still be as competitive 11 years after. It will take a long time before someone can take the title of being youngest and oldest Worlds champion simultaneously from him.
Faker is not the youngest to win World unfortunately, just youngest mid-laner to win World. That title belongs to Cyanide at the age of 16. It was kinda unfair because you have to be 17 to start competing in League nowadays so this record will be forever held by him.
After worlds ended this year,I saw someone on X saying that the best mid-laner is Faker, the second best mid-laner is Faker injured and the third best mid-laner is Faker with arthritis in both hands.I think this is funny but also accurate in a way 'cause you can see that there is actually no one in LoL that comes even remotely close to what Faker has achieved and is continuing to achieve
The win rate in 2015 is insane. They just lost 1 game out of all games they played. That's considered by many people the most dominant run in worlds we have ever seen.
It's hard to explain why he's so famous. But the fact that a person has gone through so many slumps and can pick himself up after 7 years of failure is truly surprising in terms of strength and spirit. The Worlds Cup is very difficult to win and there are many players who cannot achieve it their whole career but he has won 5 trophies and 3/5 he is the MVP/FMVP of the tournament. He doesn't always win and has many, many difficult times but his star quality of being able to clutch at crucial moments is what separates his play from others. He is truly special, one of a kind
I'm so glad to see that Faker's incredible achievements are reaching and impressing people who don't even play the game, I hope he reaches many more like you, I feel like everyone can learn from and be inspired by Faker no matter where they come from.
@AMightyStorm Yes he's an inspiration ! The fact that he bounce back after a steak of losses makes it inspiring ! I'm happy you enjoyed the video ! More to come !
I just want to explain the champion pool. In the League, there are champions you can play. There are also a lot in the mid-lane. Faker can play effectively almost every single champion in the mid-lane. That's hard for an opponent to ban against him.
Faker won Worlds 5x. Of all players who are not on Fakers team there are only 2 players who have won worlds more than once. And they both won it twice. So the next best player after faker has less than half as many worlds titles as him. Untouchable.
The only player next to Faker is Bengi. The best teamfight jungler of all time, best utility jungler of all time, best mid-jgl duo of all time, most Worlds wins behind faker, 4th most LCK titles behind faker, peanut and Khan (all 3 players played more season then him), amazing clutch player. He changed the role of jungler with his understanding in pathing, gank-timers and effiency. Yes, he was always with Faker, but he was a monster too. "The jungle itself" and "the right hand of God" were/are the titles they gave him. He was able to fill every role he had to play. He played 4 years perfectly around his team: In 2013 he was a insane utility jungler. 2015 full supportive (MaRin, Faker, Easyhoon and Bang each were able to 1v9 the game when ahead. Bengi had just gave them kills with his ganks. Wolf is the best engage supporter of all time, something bengi didnt had to do too). 2016 he was the clutch player (the legendary nidalee pick), his playstyle was way more agressive. He showed that he can play 1v9 too. He has to be the 2nd compared to skill and achievements. Even he has a gap to Faker, but who is close to Bengi too?
Realistically you would have to be a young player just like he was to try and concur records but people say the younger kids go towards other games these days.
@WhiteDeviluke I'm sure he was talking about Faker ..I mixed up the years , probably it was 2010 or even 2009 ! I know this guy was a ranked player so maybe that's why he knew
