Isn‘t that Video more about the d-Block-Contraction, rather then the Inertert-Pair-Effect? I thought the Inert-Pair-Effect is caused by the increased speed of the s-electrons which ends in a relavistic effect that increases their mass. Therefor the orbitals contract and the ionisationenergy increases, which makes it harder to form bonds with the s-orbital valenzelectrons.
Crystal clear 👌 ✨️
