- After the premiere of Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse, which left a lot of questions and ended on a cliffhanger with Miles and The Prowler, we are all waiting for a sequel called Spider-Man: Beyond the Spiderverse by Sony Pictures. I think Miguel‘s biggest mistake was not allowing Miles to try and be Spider-Man. If Miguel was so certain that Jeff would die, then why did he imprison Miles? He should have at least given Miles a shot at trying to save him like “You can try or whatever but it won’t change anything”. Miles point was how messed up it is that Miguel says “yo your Captain will die” and the Spider-Man will just sit back, relax and let it happen.
Miguel quite literally took away Miles’ right to be Spider-Man because he didn’t like him
The whole point of imprisoning Miles was to STOP him from saving his dad, because IF he saved him like he saved the commissioner, another (possible) canon event would be interrupted and the world would (possibly)collapse. He literally explained why he's doing it and why he couldn't let Miles return until it happened. He isn't sure it'll happen but its not a risk he wanted to take, like when Gwen asked how could he be sure and he asked her "You want to find out?" as in "are you willing to take that risk?"
@@decayinggamer436 Yeah, but that also means Miguel recognizes that Miles is a super-strong spider man. wait, does this mean he is the actual strongest of the spider people? that would make sense. He might not be as physically strong as most other spider people, but he has awesome powers and can get back up after pretty much anything. he literally should have died from the kingpin-hulk smash thing in into the spiderverse, because it should have broken his spine or his skull or SOMETHING. but miles is able to get back up, for the ones he loves, no matter what happens.

It's also pretty interesting that it's called beyond the spiderverse. Makes me think they'll dive pretty deep into how the multiverse works and get to the other side. Into was a dip, across was jumping in, and beyond will be the other side.

I think it's just a naming scheme. The story is about Miles, not the multiverse. We understand enough about how it works and we'll probably get a few new details, but it would a waste of time to focus deeply on the mechanics of the multiverse since it's just a narrative tool.

I don't think The Prowler is an actual villain but rather an Anti-Hero. We really don't get to see much of explicit things but they're there in context. The way they behave is smoke and mirrors because of the world they live in. They had to adapt to that world and that they're actually the good guys. They just couldn't afford to be the heroic type because the world isn't fortunate enough to have them be like so.

Having just rewatched this and seeing another separate theory video I agree. Miles when tied up said his uncle was a good guy that didn't realize he could be and made bad choices. But a perfect parallel would be an uncle Aaron that makes good choices more often than not for ambiguous reasons. When he said, "I'm not" it could have referred to not being a good guy, or not being the prowler because 42 miles was officially. That end scene also parallels when he tied up b parker in the first film. And how he learned/plans to escape
That seems to be what some concept animation showed, Aaron was training other Miles as they swung around on cables and carabiners to steal medicine to help out Miles' mother iirc. So definitely not pure hero, but still done with good intentions underneath everything

I forgot to mention that there is a test footage with Prowler and Uncle Aaron from Earth-42, in which they break away from the chase and deliver the medicine to the hospital where Miles' mom works.
This suggests that Sinister Six rules all industries, including pharmaceuticals.
To clarify, in Spider-Man 2099, Miguel did NOT mix his DNA with a spider's. Rapture bonds genetically to the user, so Miguel was trying to return his DNA to its original state, which he had recorded earlier, before being drugged. However, when he was trying to use the process, a rival discovered what he was doing, switched the parameters to 50% spider DNA, and overloaded the system causing it to explode.

It’s totally possible no one could die In beyond the spiderverse, something that’s consistent is we’re thrown off from what we expect. These movies truly do there own thing and we like these movies for it.

No one really needs to die… it’s just a theory that someone will die… so we can expect the unexcepted…
I feel like it could be a misnomer. "Or you could just bake two cakes" Like in the DC crisis on infinite earths where the flash had to die but the flash from the 90s show sacrifices himself so the young flash can live and learn etc. I really want him to pull through without additional loss, despite knowing that loss defines spiderman. It also seems like they're setting up for it to be a surprise twist to be his mom. But I think it will also tie in with either Miguel not being who he says he is, or by him no longer being the antagonist because of some unexpected/unforeseen change...

Honestly the whole "someone needs to die" in order for a story to be dramatic is dumb and tired. There's more to having a good story than just "omg this character died".
in my opinion having animated characters alongside live action characters would be so cool (although it MIGHT take more work than normal). Kinda like Who framed Roger rabbit and Space jam.

I seriously do NOT want animated characters in live action movies. Its so hard especially for the actors, as it makes a lot of the interactions seem pretty lifeless when talking to someone you cant really even see.

Actually, it wouldn't be the first time they've done something like this, even when Looney Tunes started and pork pig decided to quit Warner Bros., but even then, that wasn't even the first they tried Alice in Wonderland, from then on there's been a few cartoons and movies work live action people meets toons

It will be worth the wait. This is a film that has been revolutionary in not just storytelling and representation but also animation. I say give them all the time they need to make something fantastic.

Miles is actaually such a good spiderman in his world not losing anyone or having problems dealing with his villians because his spider had extra ablites ment for a tougher world so in his world which is calmer hes much stronger than he should be
I would argue by that logic, you're not stronger, you're just more naive. But overcoming those difficulties and challenges that heroes normally have to go through, such as canon tragedies, made him stronger. Emotionally stronger than the typical heroes who went through tragedy? Yes and no. The tragedies that does happen will just hit harder.

Miguel actually said that the spiderverse is connected by MULTIPLE canon events which would mean that each one has to occur in every spiders story in order for their universes to remain stable. Peters death was represented as Gwen’s version of the uncle Ben death. Her fathers death would be of the canon event Miguel detailed Miles had disrupted in Pav’s universe “A police captain close to Spiderman will die in a battle with an arch nemesis”.

My main thing against Miguel's argument is like this. So like isn't spot basically trying to destroy miles' world aside from just the people miles cares about? Isn't spot technically a multiversal threat? If so then does it technically matter If miles wants to try and save his dad since either way he has to fight spot anyway? And given how big of a threat spot is shouldn't the other spider-men be on board with fighting spot too even if saving miles' dad isn't what they are trying to accomplish?

Idk what they directors are planning but I think it would make sense to keep Jeff alive as well as Gwen, Ik the reference might be cool but spider verse has already become it’s own thing and I want it do stay it’s own thing, Killing Rio or maybe a close friend of miles (eg. Peter B) would be a better idea even though I would hate to have one of them go, idk how realistic it is but I would honestly love to have like a 5 hour movie but that’s just me

dude peter b. is probably the best option. Imagine the trauma that would tie into miles and seeing pter b. die because he saw the spiderman in his universe die. It would add depth and more internal conflicts.

Since Peter was the original Spider-Man in his universe, the birth of his child meant that there would be 2 Spider-Mans in that universe. This may cause the universe to want to correct itself and to do that, Peter B may die (similar like how in Mile’s the Peter died as a result of the universe correcting how there’s 2 Spider-Man in the same universe)

I love this movie. It playfully pokes fun at how ridiculous the other Spider-men can be, but never plays Miles up like he's the best Spider-man ever. It also takes a very hard look at charting your own path in life. Miles didn't take his future seriously at the start and the Spot is a reflection of that. When Miles starts to take his future more seriously, he meets the Spider Society and learns what he'll be like if he's too much like other Spider-men. When he gets to Universe 42, he learns that he can't NOT be Spider-man either because he's seen what a world without Spider-man looks like. He has to be his own Spider-man, which is kind of what the first movie touched on. However, it was more concerned with getting Miles to be a good Spider-man in the first place.

This might be a crazy take but I have a theory that the structure of the Spiderverse headquarters looking like a web (I mean of course it would be because Spiderman), is symbolism of a trap that Miguel has set. I think due to his vampiric tendencies, he may be feeding off these "collapsed realities" victims (civilians). I'm probably way off but I think Miguel being the main antagonist would be very interesting. Possibly too dark, but maybe he's preying on the Spidermen who have nowhere to go post-universe-destruction. Possibly consuming them. Again, I'm probably WAY off, but I thought it was a funky idea.
Here's my theory on what's going to happen.
1. I don't think Miguel O'hara isnt who he says he is, because of the scene where it shows Peter being in the sane universe he's in, when the calamity happened. Instead I don't think he's telling the full story of why his universe was deleted or a good reason and Peter is the only 1 that knows the full truth, which will be revealed in ATSV.
2. How the truth will be revealed is by Peter when he inevitability (IMO) faces of against Miguel, and ultimately dying to him (maybe Miguel won't kill him but I do think he will be the one killed off in the movie and not Gwen).
3. I believe the truth will be tied in some way shape or form tied to Alchemax colidor because as of now its really the only thing that can rip holes in reality to connect other earth's. Now going back to Miguel's origin story, we know he was a scientist for Alchemax in a different universe and he was able to see another Miguel died in a different verse. So he travels there to replace them, but the issue isn't with him replacing the previous Miguel I think its how he got there, because a machine that's able to tear holes through reality and connect it to other earth's can definitely have the same power (especially an advanced version like Miguel had access too) can also destroy the targeted universes that Miguel has traveled too. Further fuel to this fire is what happens in Indians Spider-Mans verse (I mean no disrespect to the Indian culture I love you guys and your food but spell check would've murdered me if I attempted to spell his name) because their Alchemax colidor also was overloaded right before before Miles saved the chief in that universe (insert Incredibles meme here) which was quickly covered up by who else but Miguel (ok you can place the meme here too lmao)
Why was Spider 42 meant to bite Miles of Earth 42 instead of Peter of Earth 42, if our Miles was not meant to be a Spiderman either
We were shown this in Across the Spiderverse, the spider was already heading towards Miles-42 when he was sitting in class. And where Peter Parker from Earth-42 was not revealed to us, but the fact is that no Spider-Man there. We should get an answer to this question in Beyond the Spiderverse (maybe)

I appreciate the insight and words of wisdom and all, but I cannot get over the fact that bro was pronouncing Spider-Punks name as "Hobby" instead of Hobie (Hoe-bee) 🤣🤣
Along with a few other mis-pronunciations…
The problem I have always had visually with attempts to blend animation and live action is the obvious juxtaposition of the styles. This can actually be easily resolved by making the style a presentation of viewpoint instead of being onscreen at the same moment.
Take the live action characters in this movie. If during the scene where they are in the animated presentation the view should be as if they are photorealistic animation not live action. Or when the shop keeper is looking at the animated Spot character from her live action perspective. Spot should be done in live action, but the visual style of the character should blend with its animated source.
Now instead of trying to show a conflicting presentation of the characters, your presentation is simplified and it's the character's themselves being shown to adapt to the environment enough to blend in while retaining their original characterizations.
i think the only issue with doing that, is finding people that are very close to the animated characters appearance as some may be hard to get or look weird, such as spiderpig and such, i mean i think the idea would work best if they do mix live actions and would be a dope animated to CGI scene
@@Relmking In a non-superhero story I would agree with this entirely. However here we can get around that with masks in most cases. As for Spider-Ham, well you just have to either avoid the situation with those characters OR use a real animal and some trickery to make it look workable.

I agree with this. Sony already did a great job with Miles design in the first PS5 game. Have a live action actor then overlay them with that model. I believe it would look realistic enough to work well. It could also work because Miles would be older in the third movie. But I’d have to agree with Rae in that I don’t really want to see Miles merge with MCU in this way, in general
agreed, in some ways as long as 1 spiderman is part of the MCU the fan base is far better served with Sony running the spiderverse in isolation. 2:31 look, because if we think in a full picture, Gwen or Miguel basically influenced him to not die. There are two reasons why, no 1. Captain Stacy didn’t die because of Miguel, as he cover the captain with a cube like formation, but Gwen however before took off her mask to her dad making it hard to choose between arresting her or believing her. But what makes it confusing is when Miguel asks his assistant, if the canon is still intact, and it is. But when we see Gwen talking to her dad, He explains that he quit because of her. Which gave a kind of Eureka look, thinking that she is believed to also be an anomaly.
personal prediction: instead og gwen, peter.b.parker will sacrifice hmself for whatever reason. he didn't play a massive role in across, so id like to see him to something really important in beyond

If he’s no longer captain then he doesn’t need to die. People need to stop breaking the lore of this movie. Scarlet spider is stuck in another dimension and jess didn’t try to stop gwen, those are the only true members of the elite strike team, everyone is against Miguel.
I think there is an important detail you're missing, Hobby did drop his portal watch behind saying he quits, the watch he gifted Gwen was built out of parts he stole when he was talking to Miles at the Spider HQ.
i dont think miles and 42 miles will battle. it was confirmed in the official art book that prowler miles is a vigilante, not a villain

Personally, I'd rather see more animated spider people from different Universes than an animated film.
Amazing storytelling, music and world building aside, the BIGGEST thing that has me hooked to this series is the fantastic 2D animation.

One thing that is left out is the 'reason' or how the 42-Spider bit Miles and how it was teleported there. We know the 42-Spider came to Miles' world because of the Trans-dimensional device set up by Fisk and Dr. Octavius, and extendedly the staff who worked there, one of them becoming the dalmation Dot villain.
Gwen came to Miles' world, not because of Miles, so its both Miles and the 'accident' that brought the 42-Spider to bites Miles, that has influenced her story to still have her dad still stay alive.
Most importantly the person she lost was Peter Parker, who is the 'Gwen' of her world you could say. Her story as a hero was interrupted 'because' she was sent to Miles' world.
Gwen, along with Noir, Spider-Ham, and Penny Parker, were called to Miles' world, not because of Miles, but because of Fisk and Dr. Octavius.
That is a basic fact people NEED to understand.
However there might be more interesting details surrounding how the 42 spider escaped and came to Miles' world, since in the comics, his Uncle, the Prowler, was actually responsible for sneaking out the spider and/or the spider traveled with the Prowler before reaching Miles.
This makes sense, since miles 42 exist as an alternate evil miles, whos to say the og miguel who died was killed by the one we see..
It is interesting that Multiverse of Madness and The Spider-Verse take two different approaches to what happens when you travel to a world with different physics. In Spider-Verse you keep the physics of your home universe like Spider-Ham being a cartoon character and still having access to Hammerspace, but In Multiverse of Madness, when they travel through dimensions they take on the characteristics of those dimensions, becoming characters made entirely of paint.
That was a good analysis and you seemed to be enjoying yourself. Hope you enjoy the finale or (since this a multiverse and it's chaotic, which I personally never noticed this movie to be chaotic) the start of even more compelling stories that is Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

But when Miguel O’Hara went to a different verse, instead of him being the one to glitch and eventually die, the entire universe he was in was destroyed. And he’s the only Spider-Man to not get bitten by a spider or have a connection to a spider. I think he’s the original anomaly and he’s the real reason everything is falling apart. He’s trying to play hero when he knows it’s all his fault

I think Miles' father will survive, but Miles will have to travel across the universe being captain or something like that to pursue Spot. So, his family will still be alive but he will must accomplish a duty.
I think Miles will obtain an ability because of the mix of interdimensional DNA, too.
Possible story lines for the next part
- Important roles for Hobie Brown, Jessica and Miguel
- First half will be on Earth 42, where Miles and gwens team will fight prowler and sinister 6. Also we may see Peter of Earth 42. Also Gwen may die.
- Second half will be on Earth 1610, where Miles and Miguel will team up to defeat Spot.
- Spider Byte may also have critical role
2:30 Gwen lost Peter Parker, her best friend. It doesn't actually state that Spider-man's parents must die. It just had to have a huge impact on their lives. Peter Parker lost Uncle Ben, his father figure.
But we also saw a canen event at Indies Spider-Man universe. I'm thinking spot can also play an important role in adding them in closing canen . That is if he doesn't beat the crap out of everyone before

seeing Donald Glover as The Prowler after seeing him in Homecoming made me very excited that they're hopefully gonna be bringing in Miles Morales soon since his existence was confirmed in that same scene
About the easter eggs in that sequence where Miles swings home, Earth-42 Miles was actually called Wiles by the production team (As a play on Wario being an evil version of Mario, just like Wiles is evil Miles), which is why you see ads for things like W&Ws.
My main question is where is Madame Web and I very much agree with the point that he will end up being a variant of Morlun.

The Spot has a vendetta against Miles Morales and has chosen to target his family. His father is in danger whether he takes his oath or not, unless the Spot is neutralized first.
I got a prediction when miles morales stuck in wrong universe and prowler miles morales will go to his own universe fights together the villain spot
I don't think Miguel is just plain wrong but is just believing the wrong idea, Matpat explained this theory pretty well but basically Miguel thinks that anomalies like Miles or the Spot are the cause of universes collapsing but what is really happening is an incursion in said universes which is what happens when one person from one universe comes in from another and those universes start collapsing in on themselves until one universe is destroyed or erased which is what was happening in into the spiderverse where Gwen says "it looks like our universes are coming to us" and while the other spidey's worlds were coming to them, Miles' world is glitching out. I do feel like he is hiding something just from his actions alone and you pointing out the memory thing is only strengthening that belief
This is kinda off-topic, but I hope we get some spin-off series' for the other main characters of "into the spiderverse," specificly peni, as I believe her source material is extremely interesting, and a Looney Tunes-style show of Spider-Pig would also be fun to explore, these are my main choices as they are some of the few comics in which they explore extremely unique artstyles and heritages that are seldom explored in most other comics, i.e., streamlined set-in-new-york typical marvel stuff. Anyways, I know this was kind of unrelated, just kind of wanted to get that off my chest.

Miguel O'Hara's fangs and him considering biting DaVulture (not sure if that's what he's actually called) are a prime example of Chekhov's Gun. The story clearly can't be over yet, because O'Hara hasn't bitten anyone :).
The death should not be Gwen. Its too on the nose and "fate" heavy. The whole point is that Miles can break that trend and write his own story. Killing off Gwen when she self prophecized that she would die if they got together is the same plotline of Miguel saying the universe would break if he stopped a canon event. The sad death that could happen, would be his mother. They made her such an important character to his life. She is the one giving him all the advice and life lessons in this version of Miles. She feels to be the biggest impact on Miles if he successfully saves his dad, the consequence is that he loses his mother.
I would love to see another Gwen, preferably in a relationship with E-42 Miles, which would cause E-1610 Miles and E-56 Gwen to get together and maybe have that upside-down kiss. I also want to see Spot become a good guy and Miguel turn out to be the real villain. I also want to have canon events to be proved wrong.
My theory about canon events (if I'm wrong let me know): The watches that everyone in the Spider Society wears have the ability to change or add fake memories. I think it could work as there were a lot of people who had apparently seen a world get destroyed, but these could just be fake memories that Miguel put in their heads just so he could have more people on his side. Or these things could just be a hologram, but the memory-changing idea is cooler and personly would be a better plot.

I have a theory : I'v never seen the comics but ther's a small chance that people from the spider sistem(mainly 2099 squad, Gwen squad and Miles) are 1: informed by Miles from earth 42 that it happened to him meaning spot can time travel but also that they can continue the fight against him without worrying about a cannon event that ALREADY happend. 2: are time traveled somehow in the past in earht 42 with spot and realize that this was a cannon event that diden't have anything to do OG Miles then of course beat spot and somehow find a way to get back to the present. I also love your theory about the 10 first minuts of the movie(at least) will be in earth 42 with OG Miles and earth 42 Miles and I think your right.

As much as I can *get* why Gwen might be seen as the sacrifice in Beyond, it really just kick the nuts of everything about the character. Gwen's baggage is that she's the one in og Peter's shoes, and while hearing there's so many dead Gwens absolutely shook her. She's a bit too popular a character to kill off, ala Wolverine.
If we're talking mentors with death flags tho, I'm betting on Peter B. He's as self-sacrificing as the dead Peter in our Miles' universe, and would've stayed in that universe to let the others go back home. But the cherry on top is his kid, Mayday.
Mayday's a spiderwoman that ended up picking up the mantle after finding her Pop's old suit. While her Peter was alive for a time into her Spiderman career, eventually he ended up dying trying to do one more job.
Peter B got the "one day from retirement" flag on him All the Time, but we always know that a Spiderman like him will 100% pick up that mask again. Great Power comes Great Responsibility, and all that jazz.

In the train scene when miles touch Miguel his body starts to disappear which makes me think he might be a robot or a hologram and the real Miguel died trying to change the cannon event.

people also seem to forget that Miguel's fangs arent due to the spider dna, but that Michael Morbius was his ancestor and passed the vampire genes through his lineage
i feel like in the third movie, they could show him falling through a portal or something into the live action mcu and become whichever actor they pick to play him in the live action and then start the movie abt him from there

From most of the big RUclipsrs who have theorized on this we know this ties into the MCU currently so Miguel/2099 had to be recruited by someone to have all of this knowledge. So a variant of Kang aka He Who Remains recruited him so they could keep the cannon/stop incursions. So stopping the incursions means that no other variants of kang can exist. Which is ultimately good for the timeline

I saw a comment in another video that made a good point, which was:
That in BOTH instances of Miguel and Miles “breaking The Canon”, they did so in a universe/timeline that was NOT their own,
Miguel “broke the canon” by trying to replace his other self leaving his universe without a Spider-Man/Person/Being/Entity/Thing/ETC and the universe “corrected this” by erasing that “corrupted timeline” and leaving Miguel to retreat back to his “correct” universe.
Miles “broke the canon” by Saving the life of ANOTHER Spider-ETC’s “Captain”. Miguel basically abandoned his OWN canon and Miles (accidentally) interfered with ANOTHER Spider-ETC’s Canon.
In Miguel’s case the universe just erased itself around him, but in Miles’s case there was just that Hole left over by Spot, so the “Erasing” Miguel “experienced” might not even happen, the universe might just correct itself like it did with Miles and the 42 Spider, “Two Spider-ETC couldn’t exist in the same universe, so the universe “corrected itself” by having the “original one” die to “make room for the “new one.
So yeah I would su¢k that some else has to “take the captain’s place” and die for the universe to “balance out” but at least it’s only ONE person instead of an ENTIRE reality/timeline.
