    John was clearly nervous, you could see that in his first kickflip. But he still managed to overcome and win, TJ on the other hand was super confident, it was a good game in the end.

    I had the absolute pleasure of meeting TJ when he came all the way to my small town in Nova Scotia to do a demo. He really is as nice as he seems in this video! He was humble, no ego at all, kind to everyone, all while skating our park like I'd never seen anyone skate it before. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to meet him, it's really too bad he didn't make it further.

    I dunno, TJ saw that John was nervous and went for a gentleman's game. John instantly went for the throat when got his turn back. I mean, I don't usually see skipping the basics as a bad thing but in this game it caught my eyes for some reason.

      Plus, the tricks with he went fornthe throat were so HARD maaan. 540 flip, then fakie 540 and late pressure 🥵 even if it was not "gentleman" behavior, it was a great comeback and i think TJ respect that as well IMHO

      that's the only way he could win. TJ faild some basics but was getting more confident and starting to do more difficult tricks, John had no chance on the long run.
      I like to see new guys getting up there with the pros, but I love the battles between legends. I wanted TJ and Torey to win, but it seems like some pros don't care a lot. Maybe the prices are not worth it.

    Nooooooo, TJ has never won a match and I was really hoping this was it for him. It felt like it when he had him on the ropes. I think most people think of TJ as a tech skater but dude switched F/S 180'd El Toro and even more impressive IMO the switch F/S 360 down Hollywood High's 16. Dude is a beast and just beat cancer, would've loved to see him win... but everyone in BATB can win on any given day. Props to John, that fakie flip and heelflip were both hip high pop, wow.

    I think John was trying to be classy in the beginning til he was about lose. When TJ missed that fakie tre John knew he probably wasnt getting another chance thats why he threw out 3 crazy bangers in a row. He couldnt risk missing a regular trick and giving it back over to TJ.

      When he got him on T, after 2 tricks tht werent the triple, i thought, NOW YOUR JUST ASKING TO LOSE.

    The energy was so intense in this one. You can tell they both were going for the jugular. TJ in a chaotic way. John in the opposite way. Literally this game could've gone either way. If John lacked on defense then it would've been over for him. Great game. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
