  • 2016 Volvo D13 air governor kept purging every 10 seconds while driving. air pressure stays at 120.
    Changed new check valve.
    Other issues might be air governor or purge valve.
    Also check for air line leaks when finished. Easy way is to use soap and water in a spray bottle.

    Did you remove the air drier to change the check valve or did you change it while installed on the Truck?

      Our problem was the check valve. So we changed the check valve. Those other parts are other possibilities if it isn't the Check Valve.

    How many minutes need the air dryer to purge?

    • @bonnyslifevlogs6442
      @bonnyslifevlogs6442  Год назад

      We have a 2016 volvo vnl 730. It purges about every 15 minutes or so normally. Sometimes longer. Every truck is different. But if it purges several times per minute or once every minute or so, then that's a problem.

      That's going to depend on how much air your truck is using n how many air leaks you have.

    I have the same issue I have a 2015 Volvo truck and I purge every 30 seconds

  • @robertbenoit5374
    @robertbenoit5374 3 месяца назад +1

    Drive the truck off a cliff and buy a Freightliner. Every Volvo has this problem regardless of year. Doesn't matter if its 10 years old or brand new. They all have a popping air dryer. I think the problem is actually Bendix Air Dryers. Some older Freightliner, Kenworth and Peterbilts have the problem as well.
    My Freightliner has a Merriter Wabco and doesn't have a problem at all.
