Link is the "Good job breaking it, hero!"-trope(Hero tries to improve the situration, makes it worse instead) and Dark Link is the "good job fixing it, Villain"-trope(Villain has evil motives, but ends up making everything better incidentially).
Also, I wonder when the Koroks Link sent into space are going to settle on the moon and report back. Maybe they can even go into the Moon's spiritual realm from MM and see the legendary central tree called the Great Korok.

It seems we are playing this iteration of Dark Link in both games. Just think about it - polite on the surface, does anything that troubles you and saves the world. But when you look away or give him the slightest bit of agency.
So he's the opposite of this link who while watching him he ruins everything but off screen he is a hero! Just put some cameras following dark link wherever he goes and he's always helpful and competent
