One of the best albums since 2013.
So fun fact, this album is considered to be an occult masterpiece. The band openly practiced magic and even wrote an album "It's complicated being a wizard."
THe album is a warning against using magic to benefit only yourself, as the main character starts as a bit of a loser, finds his "evil friends" (demons) who give him fame and fortune, and it absolutely destroys him by the end of the album.
One of my favorites.

just as an example: purple, yellow, red, and blue, are the 4 cardinal directions often used in ritual.
North (earth), East (air), South (fire), and West (water).
Furthermore, the clockwise direction he delivers them in is the direction for banishing, as if to close things off.

Just started watching. Is there meant to be no sound during the song Evil Friends? Checking in case the upload got corrupted.
Yeah, that song got copyrighted and got the video blocked so I had to mute it
@@DougAraujo doh, that sucks. Knowing the band well I'm surprised that that happened. Especially on that song. It was used in a Taco Bell commercial so maybe that's why.
@@DougAraujo BTW, if you want to explore more, their latest album Chris Black Changed My Life is about 3 weeks old now and really good. Only about 35 minutes and the songs are tighter. So you might light them. The album before Evil Friends, In The Mountain In the Cloud, is really good too. It's a big more art/psych rock. From your reaction to Plastic Soldiers I think you'd like the title track So American and the closing track, Sleep Forever, is the best song that they've done.
That sounds interesting, I’ve got some other albums to listen to first, but I’ll have to try and check those out!
