I used to play Need for Speed III - Hot Pursuit with my cousin all night long on weekends. We were about 10/11 years old at that time, and even growing up, we keeping playing racing games. In 2016, unfortunately, I lost him and anytime I've seen something about NFS III, that brings back so many good memories.
Sorry to hear Willian! Although glad you have some great memories. NFS III was one of those games that as a kid you couldn't believe was real. So much fun!
Jarrett & Labonte Stock Car Racing (aka TOCA World Touring Cars) is one of the greatest PS1 racers. This game has an awesome selection of tracks from all around the world, the ability to turn the pits on or off in any race with 4 laps or more, as well as, an extremely competitive and well-balance A.I. that forces you to push your car to its limits every lap. An amazing game that seldom gets noticed these days. Don't let the weird and confusing name throw you off. This is a legit touring car racing game that stands the test of time.
Ridge Racer type 4's soundtrack is severly underrated
The track called the objective sounds like it could go into Wipeout or Ghost in the Shell with a nice fit.
PS1 games were so fuckin hard and unforgivable. No replays, just straight up restart lol. Not to mention the handling
I was playing Colin MacRae Rally 1 the other day..I was 7 stages into an event ...crashed and restarted.....it restarted the entire Event from stage 1 ..
Sled Storm, Nascar Rumble, Road Rash Jailbreak
and demolition racer
The Ridge Racer series was so strong on PS1 - I lost interest when they introduced boost and made drifting essential on the later games.
Wipeout, Rollcage and for more underated... RollCage, RapidRaced and Dead in the Water.

Gran Turismo 2 is my all time favourite game, BUT this list i could fill almost to the brim with japanese only releases, like Touge Max 2 and Touge Max G and alike.

Formula One is more deserving than DD2. Rally Cross and Grand Tour Racing 98 are also great games that get very little praise.
Formula One by Psygnosis, Rally Cross and GTR 98 are all totally awesome racers. I'm with you man.

GT2 > GT7 (2 OBVIOUS REASONS WHY NO CONSTANT ONLINE DRM AND ZERO MICRO-TRANSACTIONS. THE SHAME)
Neither Wipeout XL/2097 or 3? How about choose the best NFS game instead of 2 of them and use the other slot for a different series also deserving a top ten spot?

Actually gran turismo is better, but toca has the car crashes, cockpit view and pit stop

However u should've mention NfS V Rally 2 that Was a perfect competition to Colin MC
I would like if there were v-rally 1 and v-rally 2, also driver séries, even if this last one IS not about racing

Where is Wipeout?
😮No Test Drive 5 on this list! I still have Test Drive 5 and 6 for Ps1
This list is missing a Wipeout title, I think you could swap out CTR or Jet Moto, and honorable mention for Rage Racer though it was outdone by R4

It's a pretty good list. Personally i would take out Jet Moto 2 and R4, and then insert Wipeout 2097 in Jet Moto's place, and then Circuit Breakers in the place of R4. No one ever talks about Circuit Breakers, but with a multitap and 4 players, it's one of the most hilarious games on the system. And i've had more good times with that, than most other games. It's also the only game i know of, where the demo disc version has you play on a singular track, that isn't in the actual game, but more than that, if you have both the dedicated demo disc of the game, and then the game itself, the demo disc will act as an expansion disc with several new tracks. However i think that demo disc is pretty rare these days. :)
Anyway, back to the list, other than those replacement, i might also shuffle the order a bit, but pretty much it contains all my favorite racers on the PS1. Such an awesome system.
We've never played Circuit Breakers with a multitap (I think only single player) but we've added it to our list of things to do. Who knows - a revised list may pop up in the future!
Wipeout 2097 is great too I just had friends who thought it was too hard. Again - maybe if they were better at gaming I'd have much better memories of it haha

Best games is dirt bike games and racing games tekken games and worst games is spiderman but i love spider man on ps5.. worst game is hard games

5:30 Umm, I don't know if you realize this, but there's an abundance of cart racing games on PS1. Nearly more than any other platform. Mario Kart maybe the posterchild of kart racing games, but there have been a lot more titles in the genre released on other platforms. PS1 perhaps most of all.
