Our Walmart got newer carts a few months back and now they have a phone holder and cup holder built in the handle section and its great!

That's plan is what it always was...... If you remember in the beginning, Walmart had the 299 cabs... They just went back to what they always were... Infact, it's the best option to mod a cab... Instead of spending $499 and spending another 200 on buttons coins doors riser boosters..etc, just buy a 299 put another 200 to get what you want .. That has ALWAYS BEEN the way to go, once theystarted doing light up marque and coming with the risers it was no need to mod...
I hope Walmart continues to sell the downsized versions, I’d just like to see every Walmart carrying them.

@@PDX7 perfect height for the control deck imo, I have a 7” booster for SF2 legacy and at 44” it is way too high. Going with a 3” booster from buystuff which should be perfect.

@@PDX7 Yeah definitely. I grew up eating both those and famous amos cookies. Hell i buy the boxes of the mini bags from Costco lol. My nieces & nephews just tried them for the first time yesterday and loved them lol.

Ball is in the consumer’s court when it comes to purchasing arcade1up’s. At what point do these products depreciate in value over time? It’s been over 4 years since some of these products have been released. At some point they’ll have to fire sale these to continue operations.
I think I need to get a dog because they truly are man’s best friend. Seeing Mr West greet you when you got home is always a treat.
P.S. Nice Kobe’s! I have a skybox Kobe Bryant rookie card I never took out of the case since I bought it when I was young. Glad I held onto it and would never sell it. The black mamba baby! ❤

I’m pretty set on Arcade1ups. Tron, Dragons Lair, Star Wars, Fast & Furious and AFM pinball. The rest of the arcade is all classic full size video arcades and pinball. Donkey Kong, Galaga, Ms Pac-Man video arcades and Bally Star Trek, Data East 25th Anniversary Star Trek pinballs. I have two Japanese Pachislo slots, a number of New Wave Toy cabinets and all the original Coleco tabletops.

I'll never understand why spend $499(unless from factor..dynamo) and then get art, buttons, a new light up marque, Riser booster..... When you can go to Walmart get a 299 cab and THEN mod it... That way you would actually save money... That's how we did it in 2019🤷🏿♀️
I think that’s why MK2 and BBH are harder to find, it’s cheaper that route. I’ll admit the blue Ms Pacman is tempting just for that reason 299
Only cab I'm waiting to see is Starwars XL from A1Up. I'm not sure if we will really see more cabs or not from them.
That would’ve been or would be a great cab to sell in Costco for them.
The FOMO game A1up is playing is really starting to grate. And the prices have really gotten way out of line. Granted, we are getting more goodies than we did in gen1, and 2, but still. It's like the marketing department couldn't be bothered to set the American market prices reasonably for us, so they just rolled the Canadian prices over to the American market side. 700 bucks for Star Wars? That's nuts. I could see that if the cab came with 3D plastic molded bezel detail, like the mod we're finding at Etsy, and had actual T molding, but not in it's present condition. Geez. I still have my Tempest. I've yet to encounter the problems others have reported. Guess I got lucky and got mine before the factory workers got lazy, or something. LOL Thanks for the video.
Might have been the trackball I’m not sure but I like the look of Tempest. I don’t like how they removed everything making us think these finally sold out only to have them available everywhere again. SW 700 way too high maybe for an XL, but that still seems steep. Have a great day Thomas 👊

Hey Bill, that’s a really tough one to choose from. Everyone who has SW loves it, if you’re a SW fan I think it’s a must like for me when I bought Marvel. AFM is the truest pinball out of the 3 because of the games came from 10 actual pinball machines. It’s got an 80’s vibe, I’d get all 3 if I could. Having bought my Parents AFM and playing it, I’d buy SW next if I personally was buying another 1up. SW will be higher than AFM, what are you leaning towards?
I'm leaning towards the Star Wars pinball. The main reason is that I think it'll look good next to my Star Wars cab. Also, I grew up with Star Wars.

Yesterday I pulled the trigger and snagged the golden tee deluxe yesterday and it’s currently on the way. I just love golf games and bowling is cool too. Will get NBA Jam Deluxe next at the right price point.
I like the golden tee but would rather get Glen’s track ball. Way better quality with freedom of movement
It’s great to have options with GT, the trackball is perfect if you don’t want a cab. Where did you get GT from?

Golden Axe is sold out at Best Buy but Popmarket where I got mine for $449 JCPenny and Wayfair. Funny how a few weeks ago they were out of stock everywhere. Aup playing more FOMO games

@@PDX7 yes I did. I ordered the Szabos marquee. Replaced the control deck buttons and went with clear orange bat tops. Doing the kickplate and J panel graphics today.
@decadentdave where did you get a coin door from and what will you do with original panel?
@@PDX7 I don’t have a coin door for Golden Axe I just got graphics from Loudgrafix on Etsy. I turned the kickplate around and put the graphics on the backside so I can always go back to stock if I wanted. I posted a pic of it on Instagram.
So there might still be hope for me getting Golden Axe after all......gotta wait and see what things are looking like for me in the next few months though.

It was funny that you showed those capsule machines at the front of the store. This is the main reason why I didn't buy New Wave Toys Slurp cup. $19.99 was a huge miss in my opinion. Something like the Slurp cup is what we'd see in these 25 cent machines. I could even justify getting one from a 75 cent machine, but $20? What were they thinking? Extra chewed gum stickers and 40 mini coins couldn't get me to a $20 price. I am glad though that some wanted something like this :)

I don’t like the whole tricking us that these were sold out and then raising the prices on Star Wars. We have to stick with our budget and if it seems unreasonable walk away :)

No 1up fomo for me . They can bring back old crap and then say its sold out all they want i'm not buying old cabs i didn't want when they were new and i doubt most ppl are just ignoring 1up until they see something new.

Not surprised A1up is creating FOMO by manipulating stock levels just to create a false demand to sell more cabs. Sideshow Collectibles has been doing it for decades then sold out stuff just magically shows back up again because of a miraculous “warehouse find.”
like 10 months ago, an insider said they still have tons of unsold stock in warehouse, like years old stuff
It’s not sitting well with me, not a good strategy for us their loyal consumers
Ah yes another day of walk and talk the deals not like they used to be A1UP needs to come out with something new best buy sold out a few of the cabs again and yes I'm not sure what's going on with them either

It's halfway setup now Retro 530 sent out the marquee for me Sat should arrive by the weekend wanted to wait until I get the new one then assemble it all together

I don't think A1up has ever been the one to create the FOMO... it's always been the RUclipsrs. A1up is literally at the mercy of the vendors and what they order. The Vendors (BestBuy, Target, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Costco), are their actual "customer" as per their business model... They've explained this. So they sell a couple of volume units to them, and the vendors turn around and sell em to us. If they don't move as fast as hoped or the vendor needs the shelf space, they put the item on clearance until it sells out
Or remove it from availability online and bring it back to get it to sell, good point maybe the retailers have a bigger hand in it.
@@PDX7 The retailers are the reason why A1UP is still in business and also the reason why people get upset that they aren't constantly releasing new cabs like the die hards want. Scott explained their company when he was still in charge and A1UP was just getting off the ground with the gen 1 cabs.
The are a branch of a toy company (Tastemakers), who primarily was responsible for marketing products to retailers to sell. A1UP was able to hit the ground running with retailers because of the existing relationships they had with Tastemakers.
16:13 wait a second Phil wasn’t killer instinct a flash sale for $150 via directly from arcade1up then they didn’t honor all the orders saying they sold out? So you’re saying they had more killer instinct left they just didn’t want to fulfill all the orders? Wow that is messed up. Their customers deserve price stability. All of this volatility and insecurity really hurts their image. No one wants to buy a product not knowing whether it’ll be cheaper next month or a better slightly altered version will be released. Stop these fomo games this is so disrespectful to their loyal customers.
I heard that the 149 was priced in error and was supposed to be 299 + shipping, once they caught it they removed it. Some got lucky and actually got it for 149 plus tax and free shipping.

As a 37 year old gaming since 1994 all I have to say is those are the worst cheap made arcade cabinets ever made even the sticks and bottom are 🤮 🤢 😷 1up has the worst overpriced arcades ever
It’s the look that resembles those cabs from 94 and earlier that draws us to buy, we can change the controls if we want but they take us back at a cheap price. Thanks for watching!
