Well, I thought of 3 options if the lift had closed... 1. Walk up the piste until I could ski to my destination. 2. Get a taxi. 3. Hope they had a shuttle bus to get me back. Fortuntely the bus option worked...
The shuttle system in each valleys of Paradiski are really life saving and useful not only for skiers but also for pedestrian. You just have to make sure you're in the right valley though... or you won't like the taxi bill
@@ChasingSnow I suggest to give it a try... can be very useful especially in Les Arcs / Peisey-Vallandry where there is no telebus/telemetro/telebuffet... for example if you live in Peisey and you want to go bowling in Les Arcs 1800, you can! Or go to your favorite restaurant in the next village ;)
Well done. Puts a new concept on "Beat the clock; Sunday Night at the London Palladium". I'm showing my age now. Until I can ski reds confidently, I wouldn't make it to the valley gondola in time, and I'd have an expensive taxi ride as a consequence.
Hope you enjoyed the night at the Palladium! There is an easier way back which I cover in another video... This was the end of day 2, I'll start getting into day 3 now...
@@ChasingSnow The ITV screening - in black and white - show ended decades ago with the last one in 1969. And Beat the Clock was for me as a child one of the highlights.
Did the same thing last week but misst the last Crozats chair and got stuck in Montchavin for 3 hours trying to get a taxi back as there is no bus from there 😅, got home eventually.
Oh wow, lucky I just managed to catch that one. The guys I overtook were also late but gave me directions on how to get back once we arrived in La Plagne...
Hmmm, if I remember correctly, it was a about 3:30pm but not sure exactly. I would have to go over the old footage and extract the GPS data... if I set the time correctly, it would be there...
In terms of skiing and views, I would say they are on a par, I don't really have a favourite... however, the time of year I was there, there was a lot more sun in Les Arcs than La Plagne...
Coming from plagne centre, how long did you have over in les arcs, and how far across did you go? I was hoping to be able to do plagne centre to aiguille rouge and back in a day, just want to make sure I don't get stuck!
Your plan should be doable... Aiguille rouge was closed when I last went but I got all the way to Villaroger and almost made it back... I missed the last lift but got the bus instead... All of the videos are on my playlist ruclips.net/p/PLbGz-cgOwmcsgQDDulJ2Uw9A5gDpdLD__
Very relaxing. Glad you didn't feel rushed.

Where did you finish up? Looks like an exhausting day skiing, but certainly one to remember
I ended up at the Soleil parking, which is where I parked... eventually... It was a long day getting back...
Круто!
Cheers!
Nice video.. I'd be glad to know at what time you managed to take the arcabulle chairlift and roughly it took you to reach Plagne Bellecote?

Which ski area did you like better - views/piste wise? Les Arcs, or La Plagne?
We'll be travelling this year, wondering where to stay. Thanks!
