Wooowwwww, just wow!!! Never did I ever think I would be interested in a story with magic in it yet alone listen to it but I needed something to get me through my night at work and came across this book that was almost ten hours long. Perfect for my shift. This book was amazing and I’m so glad that there are more. I was so intrigued, I couldn’t stop listening and had to see what was gonna happen next. It wasn’t till my battery drained to 7% that I realized I was gonna have to pause it. But immediately started playing it again when I got to the charger in my car. This book is 5 stars for sure and I’m grateful that you chose to share it on this platform. Thank you

I think if learned faith isn't deconstructed at some point (whether you stay or go in any faith community!), true faith has nowhere to blossom!!! I loved writing this series! So glad it resonated!
Hi, in Mormonism is it true that being made black was a punishment from God? Is that something kind of skipped over at church or is that widely known fact even among black mormons?
@@NinaWilliams-xj8spyes that’s true, it was for that reason that black people weren’t allowed in temples and couldn’t have the priesthood until 1973. That is not taught today and the church tries to hide that fact or brush over it as much as possible. I can’t speak for black people in the church - but there are several Mormon stories podcast episodes where they are interviewed about their experience! Many of them find out about the church’s past stances at some point and find a way to rationalize it. But id encourage you to listen to their voices to hear their lived experiences!

I listened to a couple of your contemporary romances and enjoyed them, so I thought I would give this a try. My wheelhouse is normally contemporary and for the first 10 or so minutes I was so confused because of the back story being so different from what I am used to. I honestly felt I wouldn't be able to keep up, but let me tell you that this has been the best story I've listened to in the last 6 months at least.
Loved the characterizations and the pace of the book. The writing is great, the narration is great-- a home run altogether. Thank you for uploading to YT!! Can't wait for more. Thank you for all of your hard work.

This book sucked me in. I loved the world building. This is the second book of yours I’ve listened to, and it’s so refreshing to not have Mary Sue/Gary Stu characters. I like that your characters have flaws, quirks, and make mistakes. Rayelle is an interesting combination of someone who grew up indoctrinated and entitled but was also emotionally neglected which shows up as anxiety and self-doubt. I feel she is relatable. I like that your male leads show concern without being controlling or withholding of information to the point that they deny the female lead agency - they seem like a safe space for the female leads. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

I am not sure why but I expected this to be a clean book. I don't know if it goes further because I won't be. I don't mean nobody should listen. I just go for clean books, so it doesn't work for me.
Thanks so much for your comment! There are a few different steam levels in clean fiction - this is fade to black with nothing explicit, and there is a bit of steam in the scenes where they are physically intimate with each other. Don’t know if it’s my dislike for any religion but they are so damn zealously religious that when something unexpected happens they all loose their shits. The plot is interesting, the idea is interesting, but the main character is a bit dumb... like a spoiled nepo baby... Wth she is paralized , all the time... She belives all the things people tell her without thinking a moment for herself. It is hard to love her... The world is interesting with blessing guver idea , it could be a new magical world, a game but delete this woman. Paladin could be Main character ... like the witcher.
I totally get this! She's coming from a place where she DID accept everything her whole life, and if you've ever been in that space...it's really scary to break out and think for yourself. Thanks so much for this perspective!!
